Maybe a quirky thought, but I see some parallels between Collier and a young Kyle Lowry. Lowry was an athletic bulldog that took quite a few years to get his shot to catch up to the rest of his game in the NBA. Had some of the similar NFL RB style athleticism and paint penetrating game early and thru the prime of his career.
Basically, I think Collier needs to progress his game at a similar trajectory to Lowry in order to reach his upside at the NBA level
Lowry hardly shot the 3 ball in college and was at 32% for his 2 college seasons. His game was predicated on paint penetration. Lowry wasn't really a steady 3-pt shooter until his age 24 season (granted that it was less prioritized then). Through his first few seasons in the NBA, he always hovered around 40% of his FGA coming at the rim.
Basically just spitballing on what's already known--Collier getting a decent 3-ball is the swing skill for his NBA prospects.
