I get that. Unfortunately, his scoring numbers are very underwhelming, as well.
However, based on size and playstyle, he seems like an ideal candidate for a long NBA career.
My concern is whether or not he's a 10+ ppg playoff player of just a 4-6 PPG playoff player.
Negro, what do you think about other college role players like Harrison Ingram, Jalen Bridges, and Coleman Hawkins?
I feel like all these guys are ideal positional players in terms of size and playstyle. But the production just isn't there (same with Larrson).
Ingram is my guy in the second (although there are a couple of others I'd be fine with). He has already shown distributing chops, he's gotten his 3FG up at UNC, was a force on the defensive end. I like that he acknowledged he's not going to have the freedom of Stanford, so he settled into what his NBA role will be: a 3&D wing. I know the FT% is concerning, but I'm willing to take the chance.
I like Bridges, but I'm trying to separate myself from him transferring to UK (which was a rumor for a hot minute) and him on the Sixers. I generally don't care for guys who have been one dimensional offensive players their whole career.
Coleman Hawkins looked too unathletic for the NBA. Seems like he watched a lot of RoCo and tried to emulate that at Illinois.
I'm still a Jamir Watkins truther though. Would take him in the second if he's available. Probably over Ingram, however I see more paths to NBA longevity for Ingram.
