Maybe we can not trade Randle depending on the date he extends.
Call me impatient but it certainly feels like many of our trade chips will lose value if we don't strike in the next month or so.
- 2 draft picks this year
- Bogs contract comes up for renewal or need to trade in a month
Combine that with what in theory should be an interesting offseason with numerous stars on underperforming teams and the new cba kicking in, it feels like NOW not later is the time to finally strike.
This team is very close if it can stay healthy. Make the trade for one of the younger , less injury prone players that come available.
Do NOT trade for the too old and/or too injury prone guys:
Embiid
PG13
Beal (definitely not!)
Guys I am iffy on but could be great here:
KAT- I am iffy on but depending on the trade it could make us better
AD- iffy bc of the injury history but man would he be a beast on this team if healthy.
Durant - I am iffy on due to age/ injury history but he could be great here for 1 year or 2 potentially
Guys on the definitely trade for list:
Giannis - by far #1 option, young ish, not too too injury prone, elite 2 way O and D player.
Mikal Bridges- perfect Thibs fit. Not elite offensively but better than OG. Cheap contract too. Keep Randle and team would be loaded.
Donovan Mitchell- young, tough and is a combo guard who has decent defensive potential in Thibs system despite not having ideal height at 6'3. Still long arms, high BB IQ and would take pressure off Brunson.
Booker- ideal 2 guard for this system with height and can ballhandle a bit too
