Does make me curious if this is in any way Stephon Castle related.

Hard pass!

Hornets can bundle some short term deals like Bertans (expiring) + Micic (2 years) + Cody Martin (2 years) = ~32 million for matching purposes.

I don't think people realize if Bridges walks we will take a step back offensively. We need to replace his scoring production.

I don't see the Bulls attaching draft capital for LaVine. Their asking price came down. They want to salary dump him, but that probably entails just moving his contract at neutral value. I don't see them shifting from their high asking price to paying to move him.

Yeah I understand that. Im just saying he's a realistic option if we lose Bridges. We could get him as a pure salary dump.

Trade machine works:
Martin + Micic + Bertans for Ben Simmons + 2027 Sixers 1st (top-8 protected).
Peterson strikes a deal with his former organization in Brooklyn?

Sounds like another year of tanking. If it means not giving Miles a stupid contract and getting a shot at a top 3 pick in 25, then I can more than stomach that.

LofJ wrote:I think the Miles thing is more of a prepare to pivot if we have to rather than we've already decided to let him walk decision. He's an unrestricted free agent, so he could sign anywhere (that has enough space to sign him). It would be organizational incompetence if Peterson wasn't at least preparing for the possibility that Miles will be playing for another team this coming season.
