Uhmmm… yes

Does MIL want that package? No (unless they can guarantee a flip of Ju for young player and more picks)

Our biggest weakness is perimeter shooting but almost everything else of that lineup is dominant/borderline dominant.

In the paint Defense, Perimeter defense, pure scoring, rebounding, front court size.

3 ball isn't elite but it is pretty good between the 1,2, and 3 spots. We could probably add a 3 guy on the cheap that will want a ring to complete the picture.

It's hard not to think with a Brunson that played anywhere near the one we saw in these playoffs and then adding a Giannis and then OG as your defensive chess piece that this team wouldn't be an absolute finals favorite.

I highly disagree with the lack of shooting.

3 point shooting would be a major strength. DDV was one of the best shooters in the league full stop this season. OG is deadly from the corners and has been upper 30"s from 3 for the past few years. JB has always been a great catch and shoot guy and he's been over 40% from 3 as a Knick even with the high pull up volume from this year.

Personally, I think Giannis would make us title favorites. We'd have the best 2 players in almost every series in the East at that point.

The weakness in that lineup would probably be perimeter and POA defense, but you make up for that by having 3 monsters on the back end to clean stuff up. And if you're worried about DDV's defense you can throw Hart in there and it might cramp spacing a bit but you would own the glass and be very tough to score on.

There is a chance (albeit not huge perhaps) Phoenix will move him . He's 35 and they recognize the chemistry wasn't good between him Booker and Beal. Booker they probably hold on to bc the window with him is so much longer due to his age.

They are dealing with the cap now under the new CBA. I could definitely see them move Durant.

According to Berman, Durants handler LOVES the Knicks and still wants him to go there.

Would you be OK with Durant for Randle + some other stuff?

Personally speaking, I wouldn't want to help Phoenix in any shape or form. Ishbia is an absolute idiot in forcing the construction of this roster.

I thought our perimeter and POA defense was good. Plus Mitch and IHart were great centers to clean that up. I thought the only team the Knicks struggled with was Orlando because of their size at the wing. Especially if OG wasn’t available. You saw other teams play big at guard and the wing too once they saw how Orlando gave us problems.

Idk their Front court looks shakey. Horford is 38, KP is injury prone, hey have way to much money invested in Tatum and Brown. It goes without saying KD is an amazing add to any team, but the Celtics are not built to be a dynasty.

not a dynasty but they've been in the ecf for like the past 7 years and in the finals twice in the past 2 years. they're not going anywhere soon as long as they have tatum and brown. they're probably the best duo in the league. i think as long as theyre both together, they're ecf bound no matter who is around them imo.

Idk, the east looks like it can be better. Philly might get PG, the Heat might pull a CHeat, Bucks and Knicks will get healthy, Orlando are some baby monsters. Indiana is some frauds but you never know. I think the way the league designed the aprons, eventually the money the Celtics have invested in their team is going to cripple them as designed. The Knicks cap management is still their greatest strength and one of the reasons they keep getting better.

he's not kd.. but you can get ingram who's available and will be cheaper than kd. also younger, has gotten better defensively, can playmake and score on 3 levels. im cool with running it back, but i would personally go after ingram. wings like him are rarely available. i think the pelicans are making a mistake and we should capitalize on it. and yeah i know he gets injured, but you have to take risks in today's nba.

Celtics are a strong team but they were not at the level of the Knicks fully healthy when OG came on board. We only saw it for a short time but that team dominating was NOT a fluke.

It’s time to bring Andre Drummond home. He’ll be the perfect backup big. MLE? Offensive rebounding monster with a little more offensive game than Mitch. All for signing Drumm and dealing Mitch in a bigger deal.

Mitch, Bogi, Rokas, 1sts for Bridges, DFS

Brunson - McBride
Bridges - DDV
OG - Rookie
Randle - DFS - Rookie
iHart - Drummond - Rookie

Randle and Ingram is a terrible fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They’re both not great 3 point shooters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s the reason why Ingram and Zion don’t fit and why the pelican’s are trying to move Ingram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s going to Philly anayway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like Ingram. He is SUPER injury prone and just doesn't seem to be an intangibles guy (winning player).

I'd rather keep Randle at that point. KD is one of the purest shooting bigs in the history of the NBA and he has still got it. His chemistry mixes on the Nets and Phoenix were horrible. But his fit here and with our ultra strong culture it'd be like him on Golden State in a sense. I think we'd win a championship if we stayed healthy with him on the team.

Horford is a solid player, but father time is going to catchup. Their 5/4 is definitely their weakness. You need good perimeter D, mixed in with capable rebounders. Knicks check those boxes. T-Wolves ironically check those boxes. Dallas does not check both those boxes. And Luka is very much a momentum defender and it's awful. You can't have one without the other. Need them both.

I'm looking forward to a Knicks/Celtics ECF next year.

It depends on what they get but I suspect they'll want a reliable guard for him and move CJ to 6th man. Both the Hawks (Trae) and Cavs (Garland) seem like likely destinations. They'll then make Murphy III full time.

If they do that, I can see it working out for the Pelicans.

The Cavs are out of their minds if they keep that core. Even Garland himself is telling them it doesn't work.

It's posturing for a bidding war. Garland for Ingram makes too much sense.

That core doesn't work.
