Tillman is really growing on me.

I want him working with a shooting coach this offseason. I need him to become lethal at that Corner 3, and obviously, sticking to Al like glue.

If he can improve his wide-open 3 percentage to 40%, he will be a solid player in Mazz's rotation.

I don't want or need X man to ever pull as often as Al. But do Agree, if he can just make a decent amount, especially from the corner, he will make a solid Rotation piece going forward.

He already is a solid player. The guy started a dozen playoff games in the last couple seasons. He just doesn't play much here because it's really freaking hard to crack the rotation of a 64 win team especially when coming over mid season.

If he ever gets to 40% on threes, even on low volume and even if he only takes them from the corner then he is an above average starter.

You just described Grant Williams.

Not really. Tillman is bigger, a significantly better defender, a better passer and by all accounts a better locker room presence.

Grant Williams is the only rotation guy that Stevens hasn't extended as soon as he was allowed by the CBA (technically White is the other exception but that is quite clearly getting done this summer so they can tack on an extra year at the end of the extension). Stevens let Grant walk instead of matching the Mavs offer while he used assets to bring Tillman to Boston. See the difference ?

To add to this he didn’t let Grant Williams walk he traded him for second round picks Brad turned around and used in trade for Xavier Tillman.

Tilman could get a lot more run next year if he re ups. Al and Zinger are gonna need a lot of rest.

I hope that Tillman re-signs.

The Knicks will almost certainly go after Tillman.

This classic song, "Tillman Allí Estabas Tú" (Tillman There Was You), sung by the very famous Paul McCharmley, explains our feelings about the Xavier Tillman signing -- in two languages!
