Dunn obviously could be elite defensively, but how good does he have to be to make up for being a 50% FT shooter? Teams will likely be able to completely ignore him on the perimeter.

I would hope they do so he could crash more easily. (This is not an in-bad-taste Ryan Dunn from Jackass joke, but paradoxically it now is.)

From what I read earlier it seemed very likely that was going to be the case and that he didn’t do anything at all
Doubt he falls to 33 now but at 23 I wouldn’t be mad either unless one of the bigs I’m high on is still there (Ware, Holmes, Edey)
I'll be shocked if he doesn't go in the lottery. No chance he's there at 23.

If they keep 23 I think it’s all but certain they take Tyson or Dunn, and I felt that way even before we worked out Dunn.

Isaiah Collier is an intriguing name being linked to the Bucks at 23 this late in the process. I’d certainly be on board with selecting him because he’s good and if he’s there at 23 that means all the bigs are gone. Collier did some real nice stuff last year at USC, he’s got some serious athleticism and he’s built like a wrecking ball. That could be a really fun pick.

Coleman Hawkins went to K-State for $2m. It's an odd time when you can make more in college than as an NBA 2nd rd pick.

I'd be thrilled with Tyson personally.
I really don't know why he'd be available at 23 let alone 33.

DaRon Holmes continues to be an obvious fit for a team that desperately needs a mobile center for playoff basketball. The fact that he'll also be the best offensive player available to us is a bonus.

He's a bad defender, and he shoots too much for a player with a 56TS%, and he's turnover prone. There's teams that might want a volume scorer, but he's be a rough fit for us

I wouldn't say bad defender. He's not great, but there's room to grow and he's willing. Offensive bag is versatile for the next level. He's a smart player, high IQ, absorbs contact well and is a good cutter. Think there could be a lot worse fits than Tyson.

Yeah he's not a bad defender and certainly has potential in that area.
He definitely needs to improve on the turnovers.

I see strong Rashad Vaughn parallels. Team was bad in spite of having prospects, suspect defense, volume scorer but questionable feel. I'd be pretty miffed by that pick.

I don’t think Collier is a great fit for what we need next season but I think his talent level would be too high for me to pass on. Could pay dividends long term (and even potentially short term off the bench).
I get the Vaughn parallels to an extent but Collier is a PG. Vaughn never tried to create for anyone but himself. I also tend to think drafting Vaughn was an okay decision; he just never developed. Sometimes the rationale behind the pick is correct but it still doesn't work out and that's okay.

USC was a poorly coached team, and Collier will benefit greatly from the NBAs style. He's similar to Bledsoe coming out, but didn't have Bledsoe's wingspan.
If we can't trade for a combo guard to start at the 2 and backup the 1, then we'll need a backup PG.

Rashad Vaughn had terrible character. He simply was completely non competitive. Collier goes hard.

Unpopular opinion, but I think Vaughn could have been good if he stayed in school and/or went to a situation where he wasn’t being jerked around by Kidd.
I will say that nonchalant attitude concerns me about Marjon. I think both guys have NBA talent but they need to light a fire under their own asses to make it. In Vaughns case he obviously never did. Marjon might not be far behind

USC struggled because they didn't have a single quality NCAA big on the roster. I thought Collier was pretty impressive. Arguably the best freshman in college (in an extremely lean year for college freshman, no doubt). Not a great fit for us but he's a potential building block for somebody. I would pick him despite the fit issues. He's a talent. Really tough with a deep bag. My concern is that he might be an early bloomer; not a skill match, but as a prospect comparison I'd lean closer to Mayo.

I agree w/ the early bloomer part. He's physically stout. That's another way in which he's like Vaughn. But the height/length is sub-standard for Collier if he can't guard 1's & run an offense, which I don't think he can. Tweener too.
Holland is a similar case of a guy who was on a loser team that afforded him the ability to be higher usage than he should have been. Makes them overrated bcuz they have good volume stats at young age.
