If Morey is selecting in the first round, he's just going to take the top-ten guy who falls. So this list of workouts makes sense.

The longer I think about it, I feel like this pick is destined for a quality player whose contract is weighing down a cap strapped team.

Maybe just go after a scorer 2 in the draft like Tyson or Shannon, then use the cap space for role playing 3&4.

I have a feeling that Cody Williams is going to drop. He's coming off an underwhelming freshman season at Colorado and he tested pretty mediocrely at the combine (especially compared to his brother Jalen).

Would you be excited about getting him at #16?

The T-Mac hype was complete dogshhh, I think he more closely resembles Zhaire Williams.

Adem Bona is secretly a C that fits what I’m looking for from a prospect. Almost 70% FT (huge improvement from Fr year), 38% on 2FG jumpers, 11% Ast%. His numbers on defense are obviously amazing, but the upside on offense makes him an eyebrow raiser. Just watched the Givony clip highlighting his athleticism and effort. At minimum, could be a Capela type player, but I see upside for more.

The knock on Bona is that he's more of a junior-aged player than his sophomore label makes him look and that he measured in shorter than expected. For instance, at 6'8.25" he has identical height to Tristan Da Silva. He's a freak athlete and he has good arm length so it shouldn't be too big a deal, but it's worth considering.

Bona is the type of athlete that should be a defensive force, though. And obviously a major lob threat on offense.

Based on size, production and the ongoing problems the Sixers have when Joel is off the floor, the Sixers should pick Zach Edey. While he lacks lateral quickness on defense, he is the best offensive rebounder in the draft. He is huge and physical with great touch around the basket. He is also the best screener I have seen in college hoops. He started playing basketball relatively late in life. His skill level has gotten significantly better every year he has played. A lot of the players mentioned in the middle of the draft will never play. Getting a two time college player of the year in the middle of a very weak draft will turn out to be a steal.

Sleeper of the draft. Not saying he'll be a star but he'll be around for a long time. He sounds like a very smart guy (which I think is an underrated skill set: Tatum, Brown, Holiday, White, Porzingis, Doncic, Irving... all sound incredibly smart imo). Blue chip prospect who wasted away in Stanford for two year. Found a way to carve out a role at UNC. Love how he's continued to improve his game. I've been pounding the table for him, but watching this video made me want to reiterate it.

Dan Gilbert will take him and ensure that his career never takes off while in Cleveland.

Edey’s improvement curve is what has me most interested in him as a prospect. He didn’t grow up playing the sport & has made huge improvements to his skills/movement every year. He’s a hard worker with a track record of progress, which is one of the most valuable traits for a prospect.

Personally I think Edey is the better center prospect between him and Clingan. I get the hype about Clingan, but I think you're going to get more with Edey. We'll see five years from now how this all works out.

Edey feels like a guy who will shock everyone and go to ten. Very polarizing but all you need is one team.

Every year, there seem to be a guy or a couple of guys who are downplayed by the media in the draft (Cam Thomas, Franz Wagner, Walker Kessler, Keegan Murray and etc.) For me, Edey is one of the guys this year. I've said before that, in my opinion, it's not ridiculous to consider him the top player in this draft.

If there’s a team who can treat him atleast as a starter, he’d have a very high chance to be an allstar.

I watched the Purdue vs. UConn game, and it was the only game where I saw both Clingan and Murray play an entire match.

Edey played NBA-level defense in this game. He wasn't just doing a hard drop or playing goalie under the rim like some giants. He dove for a couple of loose balls, one early in the game.

He played almost the entire game and didn’t show signs of fatigue, like having his hands on his knees as Embiid used to do. However, he wasn’t making his shots like in the first half and wasn’t as active on defense. Nevertheless, he played okay for me and is clearly better than Clingan.

UConn locked all windows and doors on the other guys and let Edey do damage against Clingan. That's what you get when you have a single superstar surrounded by role players. I think if Edey played with Dillinger or Sheppard, they could have won this game.

Edey also played with a below-the-rim forward at the 4 and three short, unathletic guys who reminded me of our setup here. His teammates weren't long enough to rotate quickly, provide secondary help, or avoid backdoor cuts. I thought Edey would have looked much better on defense with a better-structured team.

What is interesting to me is how Sarr is overrated in this draft. He can't play center, and if you play him at power forward, you'd have to pair him with a stretch 5. Most stretch 5s are not good defensive players, so it's like subtraction by addition. Offensively, I don't know if he can score against big small forwards like Tatum or Kawhi either.

He seems like he falls into the same category like Marvin Bagley, Wiseman and Evan Mobley to me.

I also like analyst said how its not like bigs would step out and switch on every screens. They play drop defense on most of the game except for like a handful of possessions and these handful of possessions is mostly when games gets close which isnt that often.

And I think its one thing to have a big with 9’ standing reach and a big with almost 10’ of standing reach playing drop defense.
