Not to sound cold, but this is really bad asset management. The entire goal should be extending the window with Giannis. Letting guys like Middleton, Dame, and Brook retire as Bucks is dumb.
It really depends what offers are out there. If we’re talking stuff like some have proposed here where guys like Giddey are the main piece coming back, I’d much rather continue having Middleton, especially if he continues taking relative discounts to be here.
If we can turn him into Paul George or something, I’m definitely listening but nobody here has proposed a Middleton deal that's even remotely tempting to me (with the exception of that bonkers Clippers one someone proposed tonight). Trading him for a **** package is worse asset management than keeping him.

Elaborating on this a bit more, Middleton trades I've found in a cursory search here:
1. Combining a bunch of trades here, but Middleton, Portis, Connaughton, and 23 for Kris Murray, Isaiah Stewart, Lu Dort, Vezenkov, and #13. RiotPunch projects us taking Devin Carter with #13 which helps a lot for me as I have him #3 on my big board. I don't see him falling to #13, but if he did, I could probably live with this trade. Not sure if I'd really WANT to do it, but again, the Carter part of it is doing some heavy lifting for me.
2. Middleton for Collin Sexton and Wendell Carter. Easy pass IMO but I am admittedly not a Wendell Carter fan and BroncoBuck is projecting him as our starting C here (after a follow up Brook trade).
3. Middleton and Connaughton for Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, and Keon Ellis. This was your trade and to your credit, you mentioned the Kings could potentially throw in #13 if needed. This isn't remotely interesting to me without #13 and is probably still a pretty easy no if #13 is added in.
4. Lillard and Middleton for Trae Young, Jonathan Isaac, and Cole Anthony. No thank you.
5. Middleton and Connaughton for Karl-Anthony Towns. I'd probably do this but it obviously requires us to make another trade of Bobby and or Brook for wing help. I highly doubt Minnesota would have any interest though.
6. Middleton and Beauchamp for Tari Eason, Dillon Brooks, and Cam Whitmore. Probably a pass but it is mildly interesting to think about a move like this. Think it may be going a little too young for a team built around Giannis and Dame but I get the logic of it if you're someone that loves Eason.
7. Middleton for Marcus Smart and Brandon Clarke. Short of the Giddey one that I couldn't find receipts for, this is probably the worst I've seen.
8. Middleton for DiVincenzo, Hartenstein (not sure how), Mitch Robinson, and 3 1st round picks. Not sure how this would work with Hartenstein being a free agent and us not being able to do sign-and-trades but feels like this makes us a much worse team barring whatever we trade the 1st round picks for.
