And I don’t doubt that, if suddenly things look great with Giddey, the Bulls and Zach might ultimately re-evaluate whether or not to try to “mutually uncouple” later on in the season. But for right now, probably just reflecting the reality that there doesn’t look like there is a decent (non asset attaching, salary freeing up) LaVine trade to be had right now.
It may well play out this way, but I'm not putting much stock in what's available now for Zach. Maybe we'll see something on draft night, but if not, it sure seems like the bigger FA dominos, most namely Paul George, are going to have to fall before we see what happens with Zach. Someone is going to have to lose the game of musical chairs first before we see what kind of a market develops.
