I don't think this is true unless it's considering all cap holds and the Knicks finalizing the trade immediately which never happens. Wouldn't it also mean they couldn't sign OG or use any MLE etc? Doesn't seem logical at all they would lock themselves into that situation. I assume the trade isn't finalized (as in officially submitted to the league) until Knicks have everything in order. Whether that means releasing precious or others cap holds etc.

I'm just done with Mitch at this point. He isn't the explosive monster he came in as and can't stay on the floor long enough to have a true valuable impact. I would rather trade him for a pick or 2, draft either Ware, Holmes or Flipowski and sign Goga to a vet min.

Order of transactions does matter in the sense they can figure out how to not take back more in a trade. Not sure if they can draft someone for the nets and include that player in the deal? When I watched the Bobby marks video he made it seem like Knicks still would likely ensure to not hard cap themselves and the deal would be tweaked to do so.

I think there is a decent chance the Warriors may waive him as I don't see them paying 31mill. at this stage of his career. Would be a nice secondary playmaker off the bench and would have the best chance at a ring here.
