OMG, please tell me this is real...
EDIT: I see the WOJ tweet now...I'm pretty high on Avdija, so caveat. I see him is likely better than any player that the Blazers would pick at 14. I don't like that they had to include the '29 1st, however.

Yeah, I really have no problem with just the 14 pick being moved for him. Giving up 2 first (and 2 seconds) and Brogdon for him just feels like an overpay. Blazers aren't FRP rich like other teams, so why are they pissing them away in this manner?

The 29 pick is the least favorable of their two they have (theirs and Bostons). It was a terribly worded tweet by Woj, but yeah, the Blazers have two unprotected first rounders that year (got the Boston 29 unprotected in the Jrue deal), so it's whichever one is lower that will goto Washington.
So I would guess they're betting on Boston being good for the rest of the 2020's.

We have three picks in 2029, I believe. Or had. Portland. Milwaukee. Boston.

I'm hoping for Edey. He might bust, but he might also be great. We need to target upside in this draft.

Nice trade that gives Portland a second front court player that could start for a decent NBA team. Teams should always try to get better as opposed to mindlessly tanking in the hopes for luck in the lottery for where has that gotten the Pistons who have been drafting fifth ever since drafting Cade

I can almost guarantee it's going to be Cody Williams.
While I'm not at all sold on Cody due to his frame, I at least am attracted to his upside. Clingan on the other hand will quite likely be an elite role player, but nothing more.DusterBuster wrote:Dame Lizard wrote:Getting Avdija makes me less keen on Dalton, as we'll be quite backcourt/wing heavy with none of the three core wings (Sharpe, Dalton or Avidja) being strong defenders.
