OK yeah, I see what you mean. I guess he could look at it like oh, you think you can lowball me and then I'll come crawling back to you for even less, HAH! But personally IDGAF, just accept your market value (which the Warriors are probably already offering over) or get out. Thanks for the memories, you'll always be a legend, but we need to move on past the drama and cobble together the best chance to get Steph one more chip, or blow it up and rebuild (unlikely). And frankly, I don't believe Klay can play a large role in either plan.

Sounds more like a guy feeling too much entitlement. The team maxed him while hurt. He was also a top 10ish paid player while not having to play for 2 years. And then when he did play, he was given carte Blanche to do as he please without any repercussions.

You'd think he'd be a little more grateful for the great situation he's been in. I don't think the team is being disrespectful. They do seem to want him back, but on terns that would help the team.

He basically closed every game in the regular season, albeit not as well as he would have liked.

The biggest problem with Klay now is that I don't know what position he defends? He's a turnstile. He's not quick enough to stay in front of guards and not strong enough to keep forwards from pushing past him.
