Yeah cause Jokic was not picked in the 40's

Sure, let's use the most extreme outlier as an example, something that's never going to happen again lol.

Do you think the Heat thought he was another beast Niko? They just didn't want another one?

Sure than lets use Nikola Pekoivc at #31(second round) who until injury was a starter for a good number of years. I can't believe they did not keep him a creative SG?SF god forbid they take the ball out of that bum's Herros hands.

Not totally horrible I guess

Djurisic just looks better

Djurisic is like 24 years old Rex. I am surprise you like him. He been trying out for the NBA draft like 3 years straight. He cant shoot a lick. 30 percent from 3 is his best he has ever averaged. He is like 70% from the Free Throw

He's a year younger than Jovic (20) and shot 40% from 3 in the 2nd half of the season and has only tried out last year and this year and his ft% is closer to 75%, I swear....

We get it, you're salty bc we didn't keep another one of your countrymen. Personally, I just don't really give a chit about that nobody lol. Feel free to gloat and rub it in my face when this kid finally breaks through to average 6.5 minutes per game in 3 years.

Draft seems to have been a good one. Hopefully, we can get these kids to commit to the grind and come out as role players/starters in a few years.

Very good breakdown of Pelle Larsson's game. The breakdown starts with defense, which I appreciate.

He's a pure shooter that Miami will definitely work to develop as a movement shooter. The encouraging thing is that he's not a one-dimensional player. The thing that stands out most about Larsson is his versatility. He can handle the ball, looks to move the ball and create for others, quick trigger on 3s, can get into the paint and finish, can pull up in the midrange, can push in transition, solid on-ball defender that should be able to survive guarding 1-3. He's in the mold of guys like Donte Divincenzo and Christian Braun as a prospect.

He has good positional size and athleticism (SG).

IMO Larsson is the type of 2nd round pick that could have a long NBA career. He's a great connective piece that can be complementary to star players.

Some of us have highlighted how Kel'el Ware has great touch. I believe that touch is a great indicator for his 3 ball continuing to develop and translate to the NBA. Here's some more context on it.

Kel'el Ware shot 74% at the rim; 44% on non-rim 2s; and 41% from 3 last season. Below is a list of over 30 top draft prospects and their 3-level shooting percentages. Ware is one of 3 players from this draft that shot over 65% at the rim, over 40% on non-rim 2s; and over 35% on 3s. The others are: Reed Sheppard and Pacome Dadiet.

If you lower the threshold to 60% at the rim, then the list includes Tristan Da Silva, Baylor Scheierman, and Cam Spencer.

Ware is in company with the top pure shooting prospects in the draft from the perspective of 3-level touch

Reed Sheppard: 65% at the rim; 45.8% on non-rim 2s; 52% from 3
Zaccharie Risacher: 60% at the rim; 32% on non-rim 2s; 38% from 3
Dalton Knecht: 59% at the rim; 36% on non-rim 2s; 40% from 3
Stephon Castle: 63% at the rim; 35% on non-rim 2s; 26% from 3
Rob Dillingham: 55% at the rim; 43% on non-rim 2s; 44% from 3
Zach Edey: 79.6% at the rim; 44.3% on non-rim 2s; only shot 2 3s
Donovan Clingan: 70% at the rim; 45.8% on non-rim 2s; only shot 8 3s
Cody Williams: 73% at the rim; 37% on non-rim 2s; 41% from 3 (lowest volume)
Tristan Da Silva: 61% at the rim; 49.5% on non-rim 2s; 39.5% from 3
Devin Carter: 65% at the rim; 29% on non-rim 2s; 38% from 3
Jared McCain: 59% at the rim; 44% on non-rim 2s; 41% from 3
Jaylon Tyson: 57% at the rim; 40% on non-rim 2s; 36% from 3
Ron Holland: 60% at the rim; 32% on non-rim 2s; 24% from 3
Jakobe Walter: 54% at the rim; 34% on non-rim 2s; 34% from 3
Tyler Smith: 64% at the rim; 37% non-rim 2s; 36% from 3
Matas Buzelis: 57% at the rim; 38% on non-rim 2s; 27% from 3

Added context: Indiana ranked 265th in the NCAA in team 3pt percentage (32.36%).

They had abysmal spacing. They only had 2 players on their team that shot over 2 3PA per game and both shot under 33% from 3 on the season. Ware was the only main rotation player on the team with a 3 pt percentage over 37%.

1) I'm warming up to the pick. I sill think Djurisic has higher upside, But I get the appeal with Larsson. He has a high floor, no real big weaknesses in his game, and provides great shooting which we always need.

2) My biggest question about him is - How the hell does he get any minutes?

Between Jimmy Jamie Herro Duncan and Rozier, how does he see the floor?

He's not some development project. His main appeal is being a ready now player. He won't get mucvh better by playing in the chitty Gleague, He is who he is as a player, he needs to get adjusted to NBA level defenders.

Herro and Duncan must be on the hot seat, because picking this guy and benching him makes zero sense. In that case we shouldv'e went with a higher upside project like Djurisic.

I think Duncan’s contract gets dumped here soon. Have to make it happen in order to get away from apron and with all the smoke of signing Highsmith.

Definitely need a consolidation move for this roster--have for over a year now.

Cheap labor that should be ready to contribute soon and for years to come is always good in this salary cap landscape

It’s a shame we didn’t flip Duncan for Tim Hardaway Jr. he makes less and is in his last year. I would think someone like Duncan would help Luka and Kyrie space the floor. Perhaps they have salary issues and needed to shed…

Would you or anyone be interested in something that flips Duncan for Tim Jr?

If Ware can get to 250 lbs, he can be a beast.

I think the number 1 thing to look at Wares development is his strength. He struggled to back people down or play with strength in college. That hopefully changes as he gets older

Strength and weight are def key items for Ware's development. He gets pushed off his spots easily and he's not a great or super active screener. That needs to change. I expect and hope that Miami will get him right in that regard.

With that said, while Ware is clearly a center prospect, his potential pairing with Bam means that whenever he's on the floor with Bam, a lot of the big man responsibilities will still be taken by Bam which should free him up to play a more hybrid game.

Bam needs 3 pt shooting next to him, but as long as that box is checked, Bam makes any frontcourt partner's life much easier by doing so much so effectively on the floor.
