I'm a little shocked by some of the names he's actually better than.

With Kenny on board, i doubt any trades are made too. He seems to be leaning into the young core idea, that can compete.ijspeelman wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:With Murray being traded to the Pelicans, I'd say it is safe to assume that Garland is staying with the Cavs.
I agree, but do want to say if they are still shopping Garland that this package does set a bar. Maybe I am biased, but I think Garland has a better market than Murray currently. Hawks went the young player and picks route. Obvi Cavs are trying to get better so we'd probs swap a pick for a better young player/sub all-starish veteran on long contract
I still don't think Garland or Allen gets traded, but we will find out soon enough

They're willing to pay Quickley $175M/5, but traded Anunoby to avoid having to pay him $212M/5?
With the tv deal coming, that may be a correct assumption.KGDirkTD_Fan wrote:JonFromVA wrote:I wonder what the Raptors are thinking?

Raptors are wondering why they couldn't get a Bridges type haul after the fact of trading OG and Siakam. It's actually pretty insane what's been happening in the trade/contract market over the last 6 months. I can't assess the value for a lot of things unless we assume everyone is just dumb and overpaying.

Lakers or Spurs could make an offer.

Well the Spurs made an offer already. It was garbage. If you mean they could relent and include Vassell, yes they could. They just moved back Graham's guarantee date so they must have something in mind, be it with the Cavs or another team.
I'm not trading Garland for the Lakers role players. The Cavs can't take a bath on talent.

Jalen Smith declined his player option…

It was $5.4 million, i would hope a 23 yo versatile big like him could net more than that.jbk1234 wrote:KuruptedCav wrote:jbk1234 wrote:The Knicks declined to extend the qualifying offer to Precious. Yeah, but that means he thinks he could get more than his P.O.

And he’s worth it for a period longer than 1year…
His role was reduced in Indy with the addition of Siakam.
