Curious to see how everybody thinks this shakes out. One thing I've always believed in, in multiple sports, is that you should have three people at each position. You have your starter, you have a capable veteran, you have a young guy you're developing to replace one of the two players above him. The Wolves seem to have this somewhat in place at shooting guard and power forward, but seem thin at the other 3 spots.
PG - Conley Jr (starter and vet), Dillingham (young guy developing),no capable veteran
SG - Ant (vet and starter), NAW (capable vet), Shannon (young guy developing), Clark (young guy developing (2way contract))
SF - McDaniels (vet starter), Minott (youngish guy developing) no capable vet
PF - Towns (vet starter), Reid (capable vet), Miller (young guy developing)
C - Gobert (vet starter), Edwards (youngish (24) guy developing (2way contract)), no capable vet.
I believe NBA teams can carry 15 players plus two 2-way guys. (How they just have an officially awarded teams a minor league program is beyond me). There are 13 players listed above, including 2 two-way guys. Meaning we have room for four players. Personally, I would like to see us round out the roster by adding a couple of bigs, a shooter at 3, a 3&D PG.
3&D PG Dennis Smith Jr. - Capable of starting in a pinch, demon on ball, plays fast and improved 3pt shot. Ego has chilled as well.
3pt shooter/scorer SF - Jordan Nwora. Why? Cheap and is basically a bucket. He shoots well and when given time can put points up quick. There is not much else, but could be a product of bad teams and culture. There are other names, obviously Slo-mo doesn't fit this, but he is essentially a guy who is back as just a solid ball player.
Big bangers C- Andre Drummond (assuming he is cheap) and Luke Kornet. Big bodies, veterans that can fill roles and not hurt you if they play. (I wouldn't mind Garza here if Drummond signs).
If the Wolves view this as a championship window, fill out that roster with pieces that make sense.
