If they were focused on getting that pick back too, I'm sure it would have already been included in the deal they already made with Houston for the '25 and '26 picks. But if Houston can't find a deal they like this off-season, do you see any way in which the nets can swoop in and make an offer to get the '27 back (if so, what?)
Also, on a completely different note, does anyone know when this Mikal trade needs to be finalized? I want to know what happens with Deuce McBride if he gets added. I'd be ecstatic if the Nets received him - young, on a great contract, and great defender with potential to grow on offense in my opinion
I had been thinking about that too.
I bet Houston is saving that one, thinking it's very coveted, and hoping they can use it to acquire Durant.
But maybe they get told repeatedly to kick rocks on KD and would take Cam J instead...
Yeah, I apologize I didn't give you the credit. You actually posted about it in one of your earlier posts a few days ago and that's what got me thinking about it. So sorry it's late but here's your shout out now
And I'm not sure if the Rockets would be interested, but I'd definitely give them Cam johnson for that '27 pick swap back along with salary filler. The nets would still have Schroeder, Bogdanvic, and DFS as trade bait, plus whatever that salary filler is from the Rockets.
I'm just thinking since the team seems to be fully embracing the "rebuild through the draft approach", it's important to have EVERY potential draft pick of team's at their disposal.
