Its enough that the knicks are at least putting themselves in the position to get him back if he is open to it.
Look at Huk's scouting vids, it's almost as if he was brought up in the exact same German big man philosophy so has the same big man skills from that training in Europe...oh wait, he was!
The guy passes, finishes around the basket, can handle the ball a little, has a similar push shot while also possessing the rebounding and basket protection Thibs requires.
He's also not a teenager, he's a 22 year old man and has a grown ass man's body, 7foot 245lbs with the athleticism and agility that is exactly what translate to the NBA.
You think he's an immediate impact player or a couple years away?
For the limited role that Thibs asks of his centers he can perform from day one at least off the bench but it might take him a couple years to grow into a consistent performer of it. He's been a pro for years, this isn't a college kid, he's more acclimated to being a professional than most draftees.
Look at how many rookie rim runners we see come into the league and make an impact with limited roles, some of these kids are younger and greener than Huk is. I'm not saying it will happen but I'm also saying I wouldn't be surprised if by new years we are praising Rose for getting him.
