If ever there was a question that agents/teams don't speak before free agency, this is it. His agent knew Utah was offering him this or else he never declines the option.

Guessing only the first year is guaranteed. Good riddance.

Did Kris Dunn already sign? Thought I heard Bucks yesterday but haven't seen anything.
Also, that Goga fella from Orlando.

Since we got Mason, I imagine Goga is not happening (still gets more than the min I have to think).
Dunn though, that's strange that he hasn't signed back with Utah if he's still on the market.

Bullock can play SG?

If we sign him we would need to trade Little and/or Roddy. Too many players with similar skills at SF.

It was reported the Suns told both him and EG they didn’t plan on them being in their rotation.

What they have done so far? I am gonna wait to give Presti his flowers when they arrive to the NBA Finals or anything close to that.

You never know in this league. What I know about them as a fact is that they have been too many years out of the playoffs and rebuilding and last year they were eliminated in the 2nd round...not too much to talk about it.

They look good and they can have a good future...but it's all theory for now.

And I have to say it... Hartenstein for $29M per year is a joke.

So it isn’t just me. I think they overachieved last year with so many teams underachieving.

Well, they played WC champ Mavs very well and were close to Gm7. They were badly outrebounded so addressing a weakness with Hartenstein. On the other hand a team that was destroyed in 1st round has brought two rookies so far that will probably play 8mpg combined in the playoffs and are interested in Bullock who's the last person they need.

This is why I think the trading Durant should not be off the table. Sure, maybe it was Vogel and Budenholzer can get more out of the same players. But Durant played a lot of games last year, so did Booker. I want to feel good about this season ahead but don't.

And yes, another wing is stupid. I get Plumlee - but the Suns need PG help. Desperately

Oklahoma City is going to be a tough out next spring.

I don’t like it. Personally I think that Thibs had to do a lot about Hartenstein looking a very good defensive C.

He is solid and I like him but $87M/3 year is ridiculous for a player with so many limitations and we aren't talking about a physical freak with crazy length like Gobert or Turner.

OKC has a lot of cap space and they sort of need to win now & center was their real weak point in the post season.

It's a short term deal so it's not like they're stuck with him forever and they can trade him as an expiring after 2 season if it doesn't work out. I kind of had hopes OKC would have some interest in Nurkic but that ship has sailed now lol

This was a bad deal by OKC. 29/yr and for three years is too much and too long. Presti messed up I think. He would've been better served trading for Nurk then blowing 100m of Hartenstein.

You sure are good at math lol. You say 3 year $87 mill then say $100 mill. Come on dude.

Hartenstein with Chet is better than Nurkic with Chet

Hartenstein is better defender, in the post, hustle, team defense, etc.

Hartenstein is also 26 years old. The next 3 years is his prime!

I am jealous of the OKC Thunder. They have a well built roster, and future of picks.

Too bad the free agency class for even solid backup PGs is so bad this year. There’s really nobody that moves the needle much.

Could the Suns have even got to that level of a contract?

Oh yeah this deal is pretty bad for presti.
I mean hartenstein is fine but not a 30M/yr one.

I know Lee opted out and the Suns can bring back Okogie and get his Bird rights next year - but maybe they do not necessarily need to bring both back

Maybe that is why they are talking to Bullock

Return to Phoenix Suns
