That’s why I keep saying trading Herro is so important. We could afford 2 max’s that offseason.
We cannot spend any assets beyond that year which is another reason I hated the Rozier trade.
The plan should be to clean the books by that offseason. Get whatever you can in expirings and picks for anything of value that expires before then.
This feels like going all in Blockbuster videos after Netflix has entered the picture.
Times have changed and if you dont evolve you get destroyed. With the new CBA even if you have cap space you are asking players to take millions of dollars in losses to just sign here. It really doesn't make much sense any more. Luka can get more resigning, player X gets more resigning. Also by having just capspace that means you dont have any foundational pieces short of Bam, that means trying to fill the team with vet mins or players off the street. The game has changed.

I think it's great, personally, but I'm guessing Jazz fans will say it's horrible.

Sign and trades would be an option where the other team gets a gigantic TPE or picks (Which hopefully will be replenished at that point).
The new CBA is a little ridiculous and should be evened back out next time. FA is too dead

When can the CBA be re-negotiated ?
