I would be all for that if we could get the right mix of talent and picks to field some Rozier-JJJ-Jovic-Bam-Ware lineups....

I dont mind loosing If we could make that a functional group on the floor and can watch them develop.

That’s why I keep saying trading Herro is so important. We could afford 2 max’s that offseason.

We cannot spend any assets beyond that year which is another reason I hated the Rozier trade.

The plan should be to clean the books by that offseason. Get whatever you can in expirings and picks for anything of value that expires before then.

This feels like going all in Blockbuster videos after Netflix has entered the picture.

Times have changed and if you dont evolve you get destroyed. With the new CBA even if you have cap space you are asking players to take millions of dollars in losses to just sign here. It really doesn't make much sense any more. Luka can get more resigning, player X gets more resigning. Also by having just capspace that means you dont have any foundational pieces short of Bam, that means trying to fill the team with vet mins or players off the street. The game has changed.

Sign and trades would be an option where the other team gets a gigantic TPE or picks (Which hopefully will be replenished at that point).

The new CBA is a little ridiculous and should be evened back out next time. FA is too dead

Weve been hearing tyler herro bags being packed for three years now lol.. the only way im dealing tyler for derozan is if derozans contract is a 1+1.. if we s&t for a 3-4 year deal i give up on this front office.. 2 year max..

If we attach a pick on this im so done..

haslem is the mouthpiece of the Heat and if he called herro a superstar 2 weeks ago then the delusion in that front office is strong so maybe they wont ship him for old derozan on a 4 year deal

Heat get - John Collins, Tre Jones, 2028 protected 1st (SA), 2025 2nd round pick

Jazz get - Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson, 4 1sts from SA (2025, 2025 CHA, 2027, 2030) and 2 pick swaps

Spurs get - Lauri Markkanen, Orlando Robinson (for $ to work)

Jazz already have a ton of guards.

I imagine they’d want to unload one or two of them in a deal that brings them Herro and Johnson

I think it's great, personally, but I'm guessing Jazz fans will say it's horrible.

I think that Charlotte 2025 pick is a really nice piece for them to get in this upcoming draft.

Plus the chance to get the 2 Kentucky boys in Herro and Johnson

I would assume a guy like Sexton would go in a separate trade, just not sure where. Maybe GS?

All I know is that Jimmy better come ready to be aggressive on offense all year long. And he better get comfortable taking atleast 6 3s a game, and making around 40% of them. Not sure Bam has that in him, so has to be Jimmy.

I don't want to depend on either Duncan or Tyler for next season. It's about time our leaders actually stepped up and led the way. I'd put Bam in that role too, but I guess asking him to generate offense for himself might be too much at this stage of his development.

When can the CBA be re-negotiated ?

Easily Jazz. Why would they want an extra year of Herro's contract instead of keeping Collins which would be an expiring after next season. Makes no sense for them. We would have to send a pick to them to make it work

Rumor has it Ainge has no issues with dealing with Miami and there’s one team in the league that holds these grudges against teams and agencies, everyone else is open for business. Wonder who it is?!
