Andre seems tailor made for the role we have a massive opening at.
If Andre randomly learns to shoot, no doubt he's a good fit. Wouldn't say there's much hope for that but stranger things have happened. Could end up being good enough defensively that you roll with the lack of shooting ala PJ Tucker but we'll see. Feels easier to imagine Green being passable on defense than Jackson being passable on offense to me.

Can we see Green not be a deer in headlights when he's not wide open before we spew this kind of nonsense?

Dame played with Gary Trent, maybe he could lure him here for that 2 spot.

He shot the lights out on contested 3’s this year. He just went ice cold in the playoffs.

Was watching Giannis playing for the Greece national team and I just rememebered.
Wasn't at some point leaked that Bucks had considered Papagiannis for the team?
But he got injured right about then and just never happened?
He seems to play right about Brook's style, if slighlty taller and more manoeuvrable. Not to mention he's still 27 years old.
He's been a defensive player of the year before and these past two years he's added a 3pt shot that he shoots at about 48% clip, taking about 1.5 per game.
He seems like a bargain Lopez on paper. Wouldn't mind taking a flier on him.

How passable on offense does Jackson Jr. have to be to be serviceable? He’s not a ball stopper by any means and he does the high energy little things that create momentum. Being active setting screens and fighting for loose balls is all we really need him to do. When he’s occasionally wide open for 3 he can shoot and hopefully work his way to a mid 30% low volume shooter. It’s more so the length, mobility and energy I’m looking for than the shooting. I feel that way about any potential wing that’s gonna be the starting SG.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

If he ends up being good on defense, the bar is fairly low on offense. I just want him to be capable enough that teams actually defend him; he isn't there yet on either end of the floor but certainly has the potential to get there particularly on defense.

How is Dario Saric defensively? Seems offensively he’d be a good fit for a back-up 5.

What? He’s extremely comfortable taking tightly contested threes.
He can be a bit deer in the headlights when he’s dribbling inside the 3 point line, but that’s not uncommon for players who are pigeon-holed as shooters only. Getting comfortable with his handle is the next step, and that requires reps (and a coach who believes in him)

Not only does he shoot contested threes well, he’s not afraid to take them. Grayson Allen he is not.
He’s truly a fearless shooter (which all elite shooters must be), not just a floor spacer who shoots when he’s open.

Yeah, I just don't see what you guys see in him as a shooter. To my eyes he takes the easiest shots any three point shooter should be expected to take and make. Anything besides that and he's not comfortable at all. He's certainly not a floor spacer yet let alone one we should deploy like Klay

This deal is tricky, because both teams presently are over the 2nd apron, so neither team can take on more salary in trade. Need to involve a 3rd team.
As for the players, the addition of Prince lessens the need for Reddish. Vanderbilt is coming off an injury plagued season, but is a heck of a defender. We want a more agile center, which he fits, except he's proven to be a bit small for a center. Hachimura is coming off a great shooting season, and he's always been aserious playoff riser. However he's also been a real regular season coaster.
Tough call, I'm no help here.

Personally I’d rather keep Reddish out, add Knecht, and give LAL some type of future draft compensation. Bronny will need Knechts minutes anyway…

Knecht signed his deal. He’s not being traded.

Is a backup 5 really needed?
Assuming we keep Brook and Bobby, Giannis plays some minutes here and there.
In the Bobby or Giannis at center lineups Tyler Smith should be the "4". Or Livingston if you want to go small ball.
Give them a chance. If it comes to that we can always find someone in the buyout market later on.
