Ive never seen Reed play but I figured he would be good insurance...my philosopy is if you can get starter vets to be your 13th to 15th man- then why not? thats how I would build my roster...

he was really awful against us. was truly unplayable. looked like bargnani out there. no thanks. if mitch is hurt, give me precious. reed sucks. you know he's bad when the sixers rather have a 2nd round pick adem bona over him. if precious is hurt too, i'll gladly roll the dice on hurkporti too over a scrub like reed.

An interesting outcome of not getting a backup C beyond Precious would be that Thibs would be forced to play OG/Randle at the 4/5. I think that might be the best way to matchup against the Celtics. Randle can guard KP I'm pretty sure and then you got all the wings to handle their wings and guards. The market might have forced Thibs into playing our most talented lineup (and therefore potentially our best lineup).

I just see reed as an innings eater. We all know Mitch is going to miss some time and I’d rather have him and precious play minutes at the 5 than have sims see the floor.

Knicks might have bigger things in the hopper. Don't worry too much about the open C slot.

It didn't. And it started out pretty slow.

Iirc the idea was an expiring contract or maybe lose a year. Randle is better than that.

We could give Precious a 1+1 type contract with the second season being partially guaranteed or a team option and then at the trade deadline, we could combine Mitch and Precious for a guy like Ayton (using him as an example)…. There would be other guys in the $24m-$3-m range available as well to upgrade at Center.
