We'll see. There's no history of giving MVPs to guards. The last guard to be named MVP was Diana Tauresi, in 2009. However, there have been several guards named ROY. most of which didn't end up being all that good.
I mean, honestly, this is something for us to talk about but it really doesn't matter. Bird and Magic remember which one of them won ROY, but it's not as if the player who didn't win went down on history as a loser because of that.
