Kawhi is bigger, stronger, and better. Significantly, in every area of the game. You can't just plug Jaylen Brown into Kawhi's role and expect the same results. It's like thinking Dario Saric should replace Jokic because Saric can shoot some and pass some. If a player like Kawhi is out, the coach should adjust the gameplan, not plug in a Dollar General Kawhi and ask him to deliver like Kawhi.

Horford's not American, but I think it is KD who most likely needs to be replaced. With 2 of the C's top 6 players being international, to avoid JB they'd next have to dip down to Sammy Parade Buckets--and that's not happening. (Though if it did, it would be hysterical.)

I get the snub angle for JB, but at this point so close to the games it's probably more about fit than who's the better player. They're trying to win gold, not pick an all-star team. Normally we try to do both, but the gap has shrunk in talent internationally. White can also come in and play his normal role with no adjustment.

Still think I'd rather have AD and Bam. Embiid on offense was just standing around. On defense he was just fouling like crazy. Bam and AD both more active on defense and picking up guys at the 3 point line and Bam was cutting a lot on offense and getting easy dump offs that would put Jokic into action and tire him out as well. AD much quicker decision making than Embiid and more active as well. Of course this is all just a one game sample size though.

He's probably the best Al replacement out there. Not the shooter Al is, but defensively for sure and does other things on offense Al doesn't do as well. I think Miami will just keep resigning him for more than anyone can offer and we'll never have cap space to do anything about it. Unless the Heat tank, he wants out, and we're even allowed to make the trade (i.e. we're out of the 2nd apron and can aggregate salaries) I don't see it happening. Also Riley and Spo would both have to be deceased beforehand because they'd never trade him to Boston lol.

He's probably the best Al replacement out there. Not the shooter Al is, but defensively for sure and does other things on offense Al doesn't do as well. Embiid could easily wind up here at some point if he ages more slowly than Porzingis.
