Pepperidge farm does.

I know the media is celebrating him as a superstar (and some fans also), but he is a defensive liability and his impact as a winning player is questionable.
When Embiid does not play it's a 35-41 (14-20 last year) record and his TS% goes down from 60% range to 56.9% overall (54.2% last year) as well as his assists (no more bunnies to Embiid), while TOs go up.

If you look at those numbers without Embiid he is barely any better than Herro on paper. I have him as a better playmaker and his quickness and ability to finish makes him better than Herro right now, but the difference between the two is largly overstated when looking at their impact on winning games.

He has a long way to go to live up to his new contact.

What, that makes little to no sense. What's Herros record being the best player on court for the Heat? Last year he was never the best player on the heat, not a single game, mainly because he missed 40 games, and he always had Bam to cover for his terrible defense when he was on court. 35-41 record missing the MVP of the team and having Tobias Harris as the other "star" of the team is a god damn miracle.

I gave you straight facts. If you prefer to respond with emotional arguments, that's your choice.

Herro was the best player on his team plenty of times last season. He led the Heat to the playoffs with a standout performance against Chicago in the play-in, scoring 24 points (64% TS), dishing out 9 assists, and grabbing 10 rebounds, finishing with a team-high +32. He also had a big game against Boston (24 pts (81% TS) / 14 asts, team high +21), helping them secure a road win. Although he struggled overall against Boston, this was a common issue for guards facing the Celtics; even Doncic was very ineffective, and he had Kyrie by his side.

The Miami offense often struggles, and Herro frequently serves as the primary shot creator, sometimes forced to take difficult shots at the end of the shot clock, especially when Jimmy is either out or coasting. It's important to consider such context, as Maxey also struggles significantly when he has to take on that role.

We'll see how things look next season when Rozier has had a full training camp with the team and everyone has had a chance to build up chemistry. Hopefully, the team will be fully healthy as well.

My thoughts are that he’s worth more to Miami than he’ll ever be, anywhere else.
Somewhere trying not to offend Texas Chuck.

I don't agree with your supposition but you laid out the argument quite well. Playing off a guy like Embiid requires skill and understanding of the game. Herro had shown flashes, for sure, but he's never been able to really capitalize off of Jimmy's gravity like he should.

Heats fans in shambles, suicide alert in Miami next year when Herro once again misses half a season and delivers stinker after stinker, and gets hunted down every possession when healthy. Straight facts of a 40 games a year overpaid one trick pony garbage player living off the disney playoffs

Herro’s contract is allegedly bad while teams are handing out massive deals to young players who have rarely (if ever) proven that they can play winning basketball

Herro also haven’t been the most durable of players.

If he was available for all 82 games every year, that original bad contract probably move to neutral or slight positive already given what you note about contract given out becoming bigger and bigger.

Do you have a point to make or did you just drop in to completely disregard all the board rules and call out a fanbase?

If you want to comment on a thread, bring value or don't comment at all. This is the opposite of that.

Herro isn't a bad player, it's just that his role is incredibly easy to fill.

And he's so often unavailable to fill it.
