Minott in the Wolves rotation would be as a player with a specific role. In Summer League he is playing beyond that role, and struggling (especially when he drives.) Minott again leads the team in rebounding, and again got to the line a lot (12/of 14 so far in summer league.) His defense is hit and miss. Overall he is playing well, but not as well as you would expect a 3rd year player to play. Then again, he is a supporting player not a featured player like the rookies, so this is probably by design.
TSJ went 7/8 from the line and hit 6/11 from the floor. He loves to attack the rim, but has not shown the range yet. He is a guy who I think will be rotation ready, but shouldn’t play with Rudy. He is at this point in my mind a non shooter. Great at the rim, great downhill near the rim or at the edge of the paint, but not a floor spacer.
RD started great and lost his stroke. 5/14 following a 2/12 is a bad sign. He is 2/9 from deep so far in summer league. His passing was better in this game, so was his attacking. His around the rim game is somewhere between bad and unplayable. Against more skilled defenders I think he will have trouble with every aspect of his game. He is not a bust, I am not calling him a bust, but he is also far from NBA ready.
Clark is making a case for being JO 2.0. The missing ingredient is the corner 3, and Clark went 1/1 from deep. He created so many possessions and disrupted the opposing offense to such an extent that menace is an understatement. He might be the breakout summer league star if he keeps this up. Still need to see more offensively to be comfortable with him on the big roster, but it is very early.
Miller looked like a guy auditioning for a 15th man on Detroit. He was soo quiet you could forget that he played. 7/3/1 on 7 shots in 17:25. Miller should be a leader on this team instead he is an afterthought. Very disappointed in him.
Miller is one of the youngest players out there. He's 20 and other than RD, might be next youngest. TSJ will be 24 later this month. I expect a lot out of TSJ for being so old. Miller is still raw but he has good upside and he has shown the ability to rebound the ball, shoot from the outside and hustle. Miller looked fine in game one and he got poked in the eye and it might be still bothering him some. Not worried at all about last year's second round pick as he has already exceeded my expectations based on his draft position.
