I can definitely see Maxey making the 2028 squad barring injury of course. By then most of the older players (LeBron, KD, Curry, etc.) should be retired.
Lebron will probably play as long as he wants, although the Lakers will probably make him retire as they will be mediocre at best. How long does he want to play in that situation? If it was me, I'd leave. But he won't, he is playing for his legacy in this Olympics really hard right now probably cause he knows he won't win sh...t for the Lakers anymore.
