Ballsy move IMO. They now have OG under contrat though 28/29, KAT 27/28, Brunson 28/29, Hart 27/28 and Bridges until 25/26. It seems like Knicks fans are split. Some think it great and others think its is at best a literal move.
I am of the opinion that superstars win championships. Is KAT a superstar? It depends on how we define it, I believe he is top 30 player and Randle a top 50 player. I guess it is all going to boil down to health and availability.
The big question is how will this effect us and all the first round picks we acquired in the Mikal Bridges trade?
Also just heard Dikembe Mutombo just passed away. He was a very charitable person who did a lot of good. So when you get a chance raise a glass to this former Net and NBA legend. RIP
I think it’s a questionable trade for both teams
Randle has his critics and the Knicks obviously didn’t want to pay him but he’s a good player on a reasonable contract who contributes to RS wins
Losing DDV is also no joke with the way that he was shooting
Seems to me that the Knicks are built to compete with Boston
What happens if they come up against healthy Giannis or Embiid in the playoffs and Robinson is out?
They’ll get smoked and are then stuck with KAT on a supermax
Our picks are a long way down the road and I don’t think that hurts us at all
Bigger issue is whether the mythical healthy Simmons turns up with an improved Cam
We might actually win too many games
