Yeah I mean even if GSW, LAL, and Steph were all aligned on a midseason trade in theory, the execution is basically impossible with the apron rules and roster size restrictions. At the very least there would have to be a 3rd team that was willing to eat salary from LAL without sending any out in return.

Yeah only if Golden State sends a minimum contract as well. It’s both possible and practicable. No need to stretch your imagination too much here. Just needed to include a minimum deal. Really not hard to figure out.

1. The Warriors are outside the playoffs, and decide to go for a rebuild.
2. Steph will only be traded to a contender that he wants to play for. Him and Lebron may have also discussed this in Paris.
3. The Lakers will do a 4 for 1 type deal to match salaries, and then go fill their bench with discounted players on the buyout market.
