He's had far more than Zion hype, but he kind of deserves it. He legitimately had some games last year where he looked like an adult playing against kids in a driveway and he may as well have been 8 feet tall.
As he starts to have more and more of those games, that's going to start becoming the norm and he'll be the most dominant player in the league. That's probably going to happen sooner rather than later. For the life of me, I can't remember the last rookie (never mind 19/20 year old rookie) who was 1st team all defense.
IMO, it's not going to be long before most people talk about how unfair the guy (already talked plenty about how unfair the Spurs lotto luck has been) is and that he's basically ruined basketball.
But i know a rookie who looked better overall than him in his first season: Doncic.
Again: i think his offense still needs a few more seasons (1 or 2) before he enters the top20. Maybe and quite possibly after next season i will put him there. But you are not a top20 player on defense alone. Gobert is the best example for that.
