Swanson "had" been pitching decently (at least numbers wise)since being recalled on July 20 -- just about a month ago. Not sure what the analytics said about the quality of his pitches, but at least the numbers were fairly good.
11 games, 11 innings, ERA 1.69, WHIP 1.08, reducing his ERA from 9.22 to 5.92.

Making it more likely that he gets granted the 3.2 million minimum arbitration offer. And then tonight making things more questionable again.

He deserves a pass.

I can't even fathom what he experienced in March with his son being severely injured.

Can’t see them even bringing him back at that number. He’s been one of the worst RPs in baseball, only one other has a worse WAR than his (-0.8). His splitter was what made him good and it’s no longer an effective pitch at all.

Blowpen was on full display last night. Did the Jays expect to compete with this **** bullpen that they have assembled? Please make changes in the off-season, starting at the top. Jays fans have had enough.

Keep Green, Romano and one of Little/Cabrera. The rest they need to acquire or sign through FA.

Watching Jays in 30 now, these black city uniforms are just so horrible. I assume they're dictated by Nike, but they should be canned.

The Jays have three colors, white, gray, and royal blue. But only white and gray pants. My idea would be to add pants in the royal blue. Then they could mix and match all 3, like the A's and Pirates of the 70s. It would be cool, but not drastic and ugly like these black eyesores.

Let's get real. Trading away Garcia in particular was just an in-season thing. The bullpen was always going to be rebuilt through trades and/or free agency this winter. They didn't expect to "compete" post-deadline, they gave away talent for prospects, and frankly, I'm all in for losing as I would be whenever the Raptors or Leafs have been in a similar position. MLB now has a draft lottery, and Cleveland, though not an epically bad team last season like this year's White Sox, won it. So I am all for losing right now. I believe we have something like sixth most lottery balls if the season was to end today. MLB drafts are more of a crap shoot than NBA drafts, but there are usually a couple of franchise anchoring talents in the first several picks. The tread milling Jays have been drafting in the 20s the last few years, which means finding a potential impact player is that much harder.

The Bullpen the Jays had put together to start the year was fine -- Romano, Green, Garcia, Swanson, Mayza was a very good core 5 bullpen arms that had each had multiple years of success. A lot went wrong with 3 of them, Garcia was traded. It was probably the one area where bad luck did them in more than most other teams (the lineup was always questionable for example). And sometimes bullpen arms just implode.

Unfortunately, its now a major glaring hole heading into next year, and I'm sure the team would have preferred to spend the resources on its lineup or a starter instead.

LOL - why don't the Angels challenge on that steal. Their runner was very highly likely to be deemed safe at second.

Varsho and Kirk doubling all over the field. There has to be some serious anguish around these parts over that.

Jeez that Clement homer. Definitely the craziest homer I've seen in a while.

The thread title is right. This organization is dysfunctional, and shows no signs of making any changes. It's hard to follow a team that makes the same mistakes over and over, almost like they're trying to lose. I can't even get excited about the younger guys, as by now I expect our coaching staff will ruin them. If we don't see major changes this off-season, next year will the second season in a row I don't attend a game and don't have Sportsnet.

I will always be a Blue Jays fan and still listen to the radio/watch highlights/follow box scores, but it's hard to have my usual enthusiasm for the team.

Pretty much the same for me. I've lost all faith in this FO and coaching staff and yet nobody is fired. So I've been to 2 games this year and watched maybe 4-5 in total.

Honestly, at this point, even if the Head Office believes that everybody on the coaching/management team is doing great, you need to make changes for the sake of optics, if nothing else.

Just to show the fans that you're taking things seriously.
