The modern NBA promotes things like positionless, small ball, switching, spreading the floor, efficient 3PT shooting, analytics, none of those things are ones we can even say that Lue does not embrace. Clippers under Lue have been very in tune with many of those even.
Now everyone can have their own opinion about a coaches execution of certain things, and Lue can certainly get that part wrong, but Lue is in no way a stuck in the past coach lol
Well, I was trying to be nice. I clear the slate and give everybody a fresh chance every new season.
But the offensive glass thing is true. I don't know exactly how to fix it but I see what I see and the numbers don't lie.

Sometimes it's just personnel, though other factors can be there.
DRB% rank since 2019:
19-20: 15th
20-21: 6th
21-22: 30th
22-23: 11th
23-24: 23rd
In 20-21 they had basically 48 minutes of either Zubac or Hartenstein, so I'm assuming that's a big factor in that rank. They were pretty good in 22-23, can't pinpoint without more examination what was the biggest issue last season though.

Thanks for a great and substantive replay as usual, OG. And let me get your back on this.
I once did a deep stat drop on Hartenstein's minutes from 2020-21 and the Clippers were in the PLUS with him on the floor. Even BETTER than Zu iirc. Next year with anyone else--it was a major abortion.
The greatest personnel F-up of the 213 Era. I won't even go into the charge that the FO let Hartenstein go to sign J-Wall. A way could have been found to keep both. We're talking $10M here, not 40.
Once again, I blame Ballmer. The Buck Stops Here. There's nothing worse than a hands-on owner, and every move [and NON-move] has his fingerprints on it.
Steve Ballmer IS Jerry Jones. Neither one knows what the hell they're doing. And they each own the most expensive arenas in their leagues! And they're still making a profit!!!
