This time it was the EL Champions turn to host one, and the Greeks brought out the big guns.
"Kallimarmaro" stadium in Athens is some 2,400 years old and is entirely made of marble from the ancient nearby quarries. It hosted the opening ceremony of the first modern Olympic games in 1896 and can easily sit 40,000 people, although it's known to host up to 80k people for big events of the past.

I happened to be in Athens, tickets were like $10, so I went.
Beautiful night, slightly chilly, no idea what the plan was if there was wind or rain, although the beautiful Greek summer typically goes strong throughout September. No food or drinks allowed because after all this is an actual ancient monument. No flares either, which was a big reason why last year's Partizan games in Serbia were so spectacular.
None of it stopped the 40k Greek fans from making as much noise as possible, and they ended up being the main attraction. The actual games were awful for some reason, nobody could buy a bucket, although most former NBA players like Cedi Osman, Pokusevski, Kendrick Nunn etc said they enjoyed the experience.
Some Lithuanian youtubers covered the event and uploaded a video
It was fun, different, players enjoyed it, fans loved it.
I'd go again
