Thank you kindly.

It's quite possible Minnesota feels comfortable with Towns at the five, surrounded by elite perimeter defenders—but lineups with Towns at the pivot haven't yielded the best results on defense. In Minnesota's most played lineup excluding Gobert, and Towns at the five, the Wolves gave up 122 points per 100 possessions—ranking in the 21st percentile.

This is from Denver poster hippesthippo

It's amazing how many posters here:

a) completely forgot that KAT is a 3 level scorer

b) managed to miss him playing good defense next to Gobert and are now worried about his fit next to Robinson (who isn't even healthy... his injury was most likely the impetus for the trade talks in the first place).

Not sure how you missed it, but Towns can run off screens like a 7' Klay Thompson.

All Randle's flaws (ball stopper, chemistry killer, bad D) are KAT's flaws as well. The things that KAT is better at does not warrant an average of 55 millions a year for 4 more years.

And on top of all this, Donte is traded away. That one is going to sting.

I'm shocked you don't like the trade. Shocked, I tell you.

Anyway, Knicks were on the treadmill, so why do you care?

I pay money to watch the games, unlike during the good times, when I pirated all of them. They sucked then, that's why I care now.

Something u never saw Randle do

This may be the most underrated positive aspect of this trade. We lose a great screener in Hartenstein and replace him with someone who is not only a good screener but also provides an even stronger offensive threat.

Knicks system is slightly different and therefore results at 5 could be better. Also he can play the 4 so we will see. They will experiment and figure out best utilization they have a ton of flexibility with current personnel

I think if we did 5 out and put up Boston level 3 point attempts per game, we’d prob score 222 points per 100 possessions :D

This team would be D’Antoni’s wet dream

The trade is not without downsides

But be very clear. Our upside got much more up than with Randle.

Yea probably… knowing Thibs. Personally, I’d like to see…

Anunoby | Morris | Bates-Diop

Team has more position versatility

He's a below average rim protector (41st percentile in rim defense last year), and he doesn't disrupt much off the ball (1.5 deflections per 36 =21st percentile, doesn't force turnovers at all.) His poor decision making shows up on the defensive end, so if an opponent forces him to make multiple rotations/decisions/reads, he's likely to mess up.

What he's good at is being very large and strong with solid foot speed. Posting against him or isolating against him such because he's got big time core strength and really long arms. He was able to give Durant and Jokic a very hard time last year. You want to put him on a juicy matchup where his help responsibilities are less. He's fine as a secondary rim protector/shot blocker, just not great as the primary.

I don't think you start Hart...I think you start Duece.

Kolek/Hart/Precious is the bench right now.

Duece guards POA as well.
Backcourt too small.
