Divo is actually a really poor defender...he is good at steals but gambles way too much.

Giving those minutes to Duece should improve our perimeter defense.

Watching Deuce run next to Brunson last season guarding 2s, which I wasn't sure he'd be able to do against starters when he was drafted, convinces me the Knicks won't lose that much with him off the bench instead of Divo now. He even can actually handle the ball a little, too, compared to Divo who is much more limited in that respect.

If Deuce continues his year over year improvement :
Duece can adequately replace Divo in almost every aspect except on range of the 3 ball. Divo had a little bit of that Curry range rubbed off on him from his time in Golden State.

That will be missed. But his defense is levels better than Divos ever was and his wingspan is actually better than Divos. So he can adequately replace him.
New reality of Son ship!

IDK about our overall offense increasing a ton (we were already a top 3 offense with Brunson and Randle) but we'll be way more efficient and less reliant on garbage buckets.

I think Bridges is the x factor. If we get the Bridges we saw at SG in Brooklyn that first year we'll have 3 guys capable of 25+ ppg for extended stretches with incredible midrange games.

Unfortunately, it sounds like he's not quite sure what to do with a team saddled with Paul George, James Harden, and Zach Lavine. It's a good team but hard to really go anywhere with it so I don't blame him for passing it by. Pity.

Get me that apology and I'd think about it.

Bridges should do a lot better without having being targeted by defenses this year, i think him being on the floor with the 2nd unit when Brunson gets a blow (pause?) is where you'll see him probably use more of his scoring ability. He's gonna have some nights where he looks unstoppable and others where that 15 to 18 points is the best he can do, but really his value will be locking in defensively and spacing for JB.

In general I would like to see the 2nd unit play faster by forcing TOs and getting out in transition while Brunson isn't on the floor.

We don't have anyone I trust handling the ball in transition with Brunson off the floor. Our second unit, like last year, will be lockdown but Cam Payne smokes open layups and plays out of control as is. Definitely don't want him running and gunning. He's better spotting up.

Honestly I don't see our offense being great without JB out there. Just not enough ball handling talent. We'll be relying on contested Mikal and KAT midrange looks.

Yeah that's why i was thinking the 2nd unit needs to force TOs and push off of rebounds to score, in the half court it might get ugly. Josh i think does a decent job at that, but your points are true. Deuce is really a 3 + D SG. Mikal has...alright handle. Nothing to write home about.

Any hope in Kolek possibly pushing for the 2nd ball handler role?

I hate not having truer, more sustainable PF options on this team other than Achiuwa.

I believe we can … we had to cut them to make room in the training camp roster to sign Washington and Jeffries for the trade

I don't really have a moment to check stats, but wasn't Deuce getting cooked more so than DDV in the Indiana series?

Give it a rest bozo. Randle is gone. See ya. Go to the T-Wolves board now instead of hating on the newest Knick who's a better player than your favorite player is. :naaa:

Bro has just been crashing out for 2 days now after being praised for 'taking it well' he's ruining it

Give it a rest lame. I find it hilarious you telling me what to do when you was crashing out for months when we traded your favorite bums Obi and RJ. You was so down bad you was crashing out on the Pacers board like an Obi cheer leader. Schit was hilarious to see you crash out like Benzino on drink champs on the pacers board

Did the Toronto board accept you? Or just Indiana?

I've been a supporter of Randle, and I question moving from a balanced offense to a perimeter one, but yeah, losing Divo really puts a sour taste in my mouth.

Difference between me and you is I don't have to lie when I talk about you(me going to another teams board giving the run down on players that just traded for is not 'cheer leader' or anything of that nature), I just lay out the facts while you make up these fanfictions over and over.

Now go on to the Wolves board, everyone here is tired of your schtick anyways. Now stop crashing out here.

Kolek is nice, but if we talking contention/the playoffs I don't usually like mentioning rookies. We have no idea what his adjustment period will look like and PGs usually have the steepest learning curve.

It’s okay man. You were down bad. No need to lie about your crash outs. You an Obi cheer leader that was terribly wrong. There’s a reason why no one really cares about your takes. You went running to the pacers board seeking acceptance because no one cares about your awful presence here

So answer the question. Was it just Indiana’s board that accepted you? What happened to Toronto?

Agreed. I see something in that boy but I'd be lying if I expect to see it this year...or to see Thibs trusting a rookie for that matter.

Well, no roster is perfect. But I can see why folks have been floating a Mitch trade. That might be the only way to get in another ball handler that can create.

The loss of white donte is being overblown. While I get it sucks losing a player you like it will have little to no impact on the teams success.

We had people here rocking Avis of Randle in different jerseys. The hate was personal for them. Not real Knicks fans. And then they run to other teams boards like cheer leaders. It’s hilarious.
