Yeah I like the Precious fit as a starter next to Karl. Balances the team, at least how it is right now. Josh will still get more minutes, but I dont like the Karl and Mitch pair starting. Precious is better on the perimeter than Mitch and gives more size than Josh. With Karl here his lack of shooting wouldn’t be as glaring either.

It cannot be understated how much losing Donte brings our offense back. The only players over him in expected points off spot up attempts (which takes efficiency and volume into account to determine how many points the player contributed above the median player) are PG13, Norman Powell, CJ McCollum, and Jalen Brunson.
It really can't be understated how much having 2 of the 5 most dangerous spot up threats carried our offense and made things easy for people and the idea of a 5 out offense with Josh Hart at the 2 instead of Donte is laughable. Maybe we'll have the use Deuce, but last year is by far his best season spotting up can he recreate that?
Also I'll mention this again, Donte scored more PPG against Indy than KAT has ever scored against anybody in the playoffs at 1/5th of his cost. There's a reason Minny wanted him, and it's because when you take contracts into account he's the most valuable player in the deal. Minny has a great squad now.
Idk how much thibs is going to lean into that 5 out stuff with the big purr as a C. If mitch comes back or we land a legit C we are prolly seeing a lot of mikal at the 2 spot. if 5 out is happening Hart is going to be important for rebounding.
Donte shot lights out last year. I just think with the addition of the big purr and mikal that will not drop off. He wasn't a great perimeter defender and Deuce will do better there. I just don't see his production being missed with how this team is constructed.
That said, he was on a great deal. And including him in this trade kinda sucks cause it takes away some depth. But I just don't think he was a needle mover.
I get that... He was certainly the needle mover for Minny and I think their FO made the right call here. Donte is going to be a 18-20 point scorer for them I think.
Then it's best the knicks set him free because there wasn't an opportunity for him to shine like that here.

Its in rebuttal to all the KAT defense questions, people acting like we replaced a lockdown defender in Randle, with a turnstile in KAT, most stats show both are bad defenders but Randle is a lot worse.
Enough with trying to police people discussing the two major pieces in the TRADE thread.
I posted some clips about KAT's defense. You said "since we wanna post KAT defense clips as if Randle..." And right there I stopped reading because I didn't post clips because of Randle. The clips I sent had nothing to do with Randle. Stop deflecting. That **** not on the team.
And if you're going to post **** in direct responses to me don't get mad I tell you you're deflecting and posting nonsense when you are. Nobody said Randle was a good defender in here. Nobody implied it. Randle being a bad defender doesn't make KAT more worth $56 million a year.
Ignore him fam. He’s the king of sneak dissing and deflecting. A top tier clown that no one takes seriously around here.

Listen, Randle can shoot someone on 5th ave rn and he will not lose a single supporter
Randle stans are often misunderstood.
The raw, palpable emotion of this video will help you understand better the type of relationship they had with Randle.

They're saying Mitch isn't being rushed back and we're hearing January are the earliest, so.. more than 2 months.

Re: KAT To The Knicks Part 2
u guys literally watched myles turner and embiid-maxey play 5 out and still think there;s gonna be someone around to defend the paint.
the entire purpose is that against the real teams, the backline rim defender is the guy defending the corner 3. it wont be the center.
again, you saw this in the playoffs against indiana and Philly. but go on.
Boston got around this by pre-switching Horford off ball so that he defends the corner 3. they did this vs the mavs every single game.
even we did this, when we took OG off maxey and put him in the corner to defend Tobias Harris.

Precious will be playing alonside KAT as well.
Also Mitch just closed on a home in NY and was in NY today. Who says he is officially getting traded?
Aller is pretty strong with the cap. I don't think they are just moving Mitch for bums. They still value him.

Not a chance that thibs benches Hart for precious.
Though I don't know how long thibs will be okay with stats starting towns as the C.
Going to be real interesting to see how this all shakes out. Especially when injuries start to happen.

we don't know that. and he's not good at center full time. you can survive a little while. we've survived with sims starting for awhile. kat at center full time....not good.

I don't know Randle personally or if he is a good or a bad teammate but what exactly do you expect them to say about him? Do you think they would publicly trash him if they didn't like him? They may truly love him but even if they didn't they are professionals.

If he's not getting traded the team we have is what we get because 3 vet minimum contracts out us over the 2nd apron. I'm hoping we trade Mitch because if not it's going to be a long season when guys inevitably go down.
