Re: Should we be concerned that Hart is essentially scoreless in pre-season?
While I am not concerned at all with anything in Pre-Season tbh, I do think this brings up an interesting point I've been thinking about...I think the Knicks are at the stage of team-building where they need to "sacrifice" certain games to get some guys some higher usage to be prepared for playoff basketball.
For example, I saw an interview with Jaylen Brown this summer where he basically said with games against the Pistons or other bottom feeders, they would have Payton Pritchard "run things" to get him some reps so if they need him in the playoffs to be on-ball he'd be ready.
Knicks should have some designated "Hart" or "Deuce" games where maybe Deuce plays 5-10 minutes more running more pick and roll and iso while JB and Towns kind of take a backseat.
That kind of stuff even if it ends up in a loss could have future dividends down the line.

Here's what we need to concern ourselves with:

Luka | Scotty |Dunn
Bane | Pritchard | Branham
Oubre | Jmac | Peyton
AD | Clarke | Jaylin
Chet | I.Jackson | Neemias

Not at all for now. He's gotta see where he fits in and he's by and large been doing all the little 50/50 types of things he's always done. The only issue I really had was last night where he didnt attempt a shot. But we know he can score and cause disruption.

I'm not worried at all. He's an effort guy that's playing in games that teams aren't trying 100%. Plus there's a lot of new guys on the roster now and there's going to be a little bit of a learning curve. He's the 5th option with the starters and he's not going to get a ton of touches. I know he's going to find way to be productive cuz he always does.

Right now? Not at all, when they're losing? Sure.

Hart is playing chess out there
But shouldn't he be practicing those things in games?
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

If he’s already comfortable with his abilities and role I don’t see it as a big issue. No real reason to go all out in pre-season.

Concerned about the cardio king? Nah
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right

While I prefer Josh off the bench, I think what he's doing right now is purposeful.

I think you're looking for an issue that's not there. Let's talk about this after the Boston game.

I think he would be more useful on the bench and move Preecious to the staring lineup

Re: Should we be concerned that Hart is essentially scoreless in pre-season?
Not concerned at all.
Kat needs points
OG needs points
Brunson needs points
Bridges needs points
There are only so many points in a game you can acquire. If Hart is looking to score also, then he is taking touches away from other people.
He needs to be able to hit the open 3 when he is left open and make the occasional drive/cut to the basket.
What Hart does well is facilitate. He is an exceptional passer with good vision and touch. Also a great rebounder and solid defender.
If he’s not scoring, he is still being useful on the floor.
What I would like to see, is Hart having a few more touches on the offensive end to better utilize his passing ability. Our offense could be even more deadly with the ball in Harts hands and having Brunson/Kat/OG/Miles off the ball.
