If you read further down the thread, he explained that this is precisely why there is little reason to judge this game when both sides are playing rosters with such limited NBA experience. At no point did he compare the relative inexperience of both teams, and he explained this when another poster already posted what you posted here.
We were missing 2 starters, the Celtics put 2 bench players and 10, 3rd unit, two way, or rookie players on the court. The fact that we couldn't beat 3rd stringers and g leaguers despite missing only 2 key players is cause for concern. Well, not concern I guess since I want us to be terrible, but maybe more of a reality check for people who think this team is going to win anything any time soon.
Out of 240 total minutes in the game, over half of that was played by those 7 players with virtually zero experience, whereas for us, it was only a quarter. That was a
much closer representation to what we should be expecting throughout the season, than the C's.
I'm fine with not being up in arms about it, but it is pretty sad to see.
We were also missing Kelly and Bruce Brown. That's 4 of our top 7 rotation guys.
Regardless, I thought you didn't watch the game. So wth are you going on about? They had a really bad first quarter and adjusted in the 2nd half. Scottie specifically laid an egg out there in the first q. Regardless, basketball is a game of runs. Many teams go down in a quarter or two to inferior competition, especially when another team gets hot from 3. Our 3rd stringers beat their 3rd stringers by 28 points in the 2nd half.
It's a pre-season game and we're running rookies out there most of the time. How about keep your opinion to yourself if you're not watching the games? You're out here passing judgement on the team based on less than 1 half of a pre-season game. Do you realize how ridiculous that is?
Ok and? They were missing 7 rotation guys.
And just because I didn't watch the game
that night, doesn't mean I haven't been able to watch game analysis, highlights, or read article breakdowns. So maybe instead of making assumptions, you can scale back the smarmy tone of your post.
I'm not passing judgment, I'm making an observation, and having discussions.
On a discussion board. Complaining about someone discussing something, on a discussion board, hmmm I dunno, sounds pretty ridiculous. No?
That's probably asking too much based on the tone of your entire post though.
