99% sure Cole will be in the second unit and Jett out of a 10 man rotation

Same, though I'd absolutely love this bench

I have friends who no longer have homes - and here I am on the internet in time to watch the season opener. This is going to be much, much needed relief.
Holy hell man, so sorry you are going through all that. Have you been getting the support you need? My thoughts are with you. Really happy to see you post here.

Yep - got all the help I needed and more. All the stories you see about the communities coming together is true...brings a tear to my eyes thinking about it. I had my neighbors over here checking on us even while trees were still falling. Government assistance has been fine, but I never expected much to begin with..got $750 from FEMA when things first got hairy and the Ntl guard showed up for a few days but then moved on to other harder hit communities. I also live close to Samaritan's Purse national offices/staging areas so my area was some of the first to get quick help. Luckily all my damage was tree related instead of water, so insurance covered it (lost 7 trees in my yard, the worst one was one that fell on the power line running to my house which tore down the power box - and therefore the entire attached top side of my house with it, leaving a gaping hole into my attic). The flooding is what really did a number on folks and very, very few carry flood insurance around here (you don't plan on 1,000 yr floods happening).

Man, so glad to hear about your community coming together, I find that really reassuring. That is crazy how much structural damage your home encountered. Sounds like you have a beautiful property though. Seven trees lost? I'd cry at that alone, I love my two oaks lol.

Seriously, I am already watching other East contenders and rooting for them to lose!

Towards the end of last season, Soul was pushing back on some of us wanting to start a playoff seeding thread, saying it was too early and that we were going to drive ourselves and everyone else crazy (paraphrasing, and he was probably right, haha).

What do you say, Soul? Should we get a playoff-seeding thread going now? haha, JK,

Going into the season and Joe Ingles looked washed last night, Okeke was cut from the Knicks, and Fultz didn’t even sign a preseason deal with anyone. I’m hoping to see improvement in their replacement minutes this season.

Bold prediction: the Magic set the record for made 3-pointers a night after the Celtics failed to do so.

Not trying to be negative, truly, but I see us playing pretty poorly tonight and being beaten soundly. Reason being, we only got three preseason games (four was already less than most teams, and then one got canceled) , with only the final one being a kinda sorta ramp-up game. And on top of that, that didn't come against a competitive opposing squad. So I genuinely question how ready the team is to start the season. Combine that with a tall task of a solid Heat team in Miami, and I just don't see us being up to the task. Which wouldn't warrant any ridiculous hot takes if we do lose badly, but I know they'd happen anyway.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that way, either.

I suspect we might still essentially be in preseason mode, while the Heat's older players should be fully charged for this one. And beating a team, any team really, in their home opener is always tough.

Honestly looking at the schedule a slow-ish start to the season wouldn't shock me.

Awe shucks, we are all Magic fans and want to win at the end of the day.

Tomorrow on the other hand.
