Flagg basically looked the part tonight. High level defender, point forward skills, really damn good from the mid range and attacking the basket. The 3pt shot is the biggest “hole” in his game that needs the most work.

I think his mid level outcome is like top 20 player, and I actually think that's closer to the lower part of that range.

He had a beautiful crossover for a jumper that just missed. But he appears to be a good free throw shooter so I'm confident he can be a mid-40s percentage midrange guy once he's like 21. He's super fluid as an athlete and he's only 17 so he will only get stronger, probably get up to 215 or so without losing mobility. I think he will be a top 10 player. Is that generational? Idk it depends. But due to various issues, neither Zion nor Ja have been consistent top 10 guys, and I think Cooper lacks the clear flaws that they have.

I see a 22/8/6 on +3 or +4 TS% in a few years barring something unexpected. Throw in all-nba defense and that's a certifiably elite guy.

Cooper's already like 205-210 pounds now. He's wide-bodied and broad-shouldered (bi-acromial breadth/bi-cristal breadth/bi-trochanteric breadth); he has a sturdy frame with well-formed, long limbs (femur bicondylar breadth/humerus bicondylar breadth.)

He'll probably be 215+ pounds by his first NBA preseason game. 235 pounds like Aaron Gordon in his prime.

I mean, that is a massive hole given how the NBA game is played today.

I really liked this mid-post face-up move:

He has good bully-ball potential with what he's working with.

To be clear, it’s not like he’s a non shooter. He shot 38% from 3 both years at Montverde. Last year it was 38% on 3 attempts.

So again it’s not like he’s some non shooter with no shooting potential. But if you were to list his biggest weakness it would probably be his 3pt shooting. And also to be clear, there’s more just praise for his overall game. He’s an elite defender in every aspect of the word (off ball, on ball, and positional versatility), has a good handle for his size, is a top tier passer for his size and age, is a very good finisher and good mid range game. He’s just not known as a consistent high volume 3pt shooter yet.

Yeah I said this last year. He's not generational, but he's going to be damn good. He's someone who can play with any star and can play in any system.

If he can continue to improve that 3pt shot his offensive game will reach another level.

Ya. When I think generational I think LeBron and Wemby. I don’t think he’s that. But ya he’s an elite prospect without a doubt.

The man has some long strides. Took two dribbles from half-court before dunking. He really covers a lot of ground per dribble in the open court.

Would be funny (and ironic) if the Sixers got him.

The Flagg hype has seem to die down. Usually people would be all up for his games. I just noticed he's playing tonight.

I'm still waiting on Ace Bailey to play. He seems like the one who could potentially go ahead of Flagg with his crazy athleticism. He needs to work on his handles tho from what I have seen on highlights.

Only a matter of time but the big guys with strong fundamentals and IQ for the game are coming domestically. Mobley, Banch, Chet and now Flagg

All reports great kid, easy no brainer for the 1# spot

Like this dude a ton. Want my Sixers to tank to have a chance at getting him.

I mean AK in some form with offense is a legit top ten player in the league. Very rangey, long strides, gets up effortessly going to fill out nicely.

Has a bag of pro moves inside and out ready to go (that quick spin in close, one dribble score was pure filth).

Don't have to think on this one.

The 3ball queries is a nothing burger to me as shown by his high school progress on it.

If a team with Embiid/PG/Maxey is tanking something went terribly wrong.

Shhhh by the odds it's a given (George and Embiid prone injury) and Maxey as the saviour understands this.

There's Silver sleeper agents everywhere and just got to Mikal lol. Only Joe and Maxey are left but their positive energy are too great

If anything else a man can dream.

I mean, Brandon Ingram with better passing/playmaking instincts with elite defense is close to a top 10 player in this league.

EDIT: Ugh, nvm. I was wondering why you didn't capitalize bi...

Cooper seems like one those guys that is just a winner and impacts winning. I think He is one of the best prospects in a long time(besides Wemby).

I think he will be a top 3 player in his prime. Not a LeBron or Wemby level talent but is just 1 tier below. I see multiple championships for him. Whoever gets him will be very lucky.

How do you rate Cooper flagg as a prospect compared to fellow dookie Paolo banchero? Same tier or higher?

He’s only 17 also - thought he was 19. He’s 6 years younger than Zach Edey

My brother is 6 foot 8 and he's like I can do the same thing when I was 20 years old.

Better. Paolo has done a great job to erase the defensive question marks he had about him coming into the league.

Flagg just has all defense level potential. And I like his perimeter skill set better as well.

Out of all the recent Duke prospects, at this moment I’d only have “Duke Zion” above him.
