Spo loves the smell of his positionless basketball farts too much. I also blame the front office too

Id rather have Gabe.

Gabe was integral to our championship run. He was a Heat culture player but lost all that when he left.

As bad as Jimmy has been this year the fact this man took frauds like Herro and Bam to 2 NBA finals is a staggering achievement, as good as Heroo has been this year (amazing) his impact on winning is near zero and same as Bam when he actually has to do something other than catching open dunks while all the attention is off him and on prime Jimmy/Dragic going off.
Tonight was a hard Fraud Check for Herro and Bam. This is not a seriously team currently how they didn't trade Jimmy to Houston was a horrific mistake.

I was fine with the Rozier acquisition but he has proven to be incredibly inefficient in keeping the rhythm going. The ball stops. Sloppy passes. Globetrotter dribbling. Ugh. Make it stop.

PHX needs a PG so I would try to ship Rozier off to them.
Trade Jimmy to GS for Kuminga, Wiggins, and a 1st rd pick

Trade Butler to Chicago for Lavine and their pick.
Trade Bam (duh duh duh!) on draft night for the best picks/players.
Restocked shelves. Time to marinate and hope for the best.

In 10 years, Miami was gifted Butler (by Wade selling him on Spoelstra) and did make a great draft selection in Bam, outside of that there hasn't been anything that Miami's FO has really done to make me feel confident they can build up this franchise which is pretty incredible since the coaching staff has shown they can make undrafted players into rotation guys, you'd think maybe, just maybe we only use our assets to get high level players instead of guys like Rozier, trading a recent 1st round pick to do a sign and trade for a guy past his peak in Lowry.

2020 was really our year.

JJJ needs to start at point when healthy he's the only one with a high IIQ who can dribble on this team to do it or Larson.
We are down so bad when we are forced to talk about wings playing point and playing small wings at the 4. This team is so discombobulated. The small ball positionless brand from Spo has been a complete brainwashing.
To be fair JJJ at PG would be "bigger ball" I don't think the team can survive Rozier at the PG, I would even consider starting Duncan @ SF as well he brings floor spacing and off ball movement but in saying that none of this is ideal or wanted.

What hurt the Heat was Oladipo health. That was the move the Heat knew they could get done. If he was healthy, he was the perfect costar for Butler. The biggest concern was that leg. The Heat didnt want to give as much as they did for Lowry, but felt force too when Oladipo leg gave out and Butler wanted Lowry. It was Dipo or Lowry at the trade deadline. Those trade peice for Lowry would of went to someone else if Oladipo was healthy.
Personally I felt not getting the deal done for Chris Paul was the failure.

I too think Oladipo was nearly a perfect fit had he been healthy. On CP3, I was posting his box scores without Harden in Houston which showed how well he could play if he had didn't have to play with such a high usage Harden, basically when playing with Harden the team's play basically negated CP3's strengths. What an incredible summer of 2019 could have been had Miami teamed up CP3, Butler and Bam together with a rookie like Herro for some scoring punch off the bench and eventually an off guard with the starters!
