I don't know how many more times I can stomach Salaun tripping over his sneakers like a klutz.

his defense is very solid. advanced metrics on def are very good.
he's not unplayable because of his defense. the 3pt shot will come back once he gets his game speed.

The shot is the primary point of separation from MKG. I'm buying the shot.

And while he is often scrambling and hustling sometimes aimlessly like MKG, I believe he reads the floor better, so when the pace slows, he can be a functional connector. This will allow him to overcome his limitations passing and lord forbid dribbling through traffic. Straight line drives are not going to help him. I think MKG was the superior athlete.

Then again, I feel like role player is such a general term these days. Guys that are career starters that average 15 ppg get labeled role players these days.
