I don't think we can make any judgements on him until the end of.the season. Even more realistic is waiting until he is 20+ years old.

Exactly right. Gotta have lots of patience but it should hopefully pay off in the long-run. Four years from now, he's still younger than Barnes' current age.

But that kind of thinking is a long way off, more likely to influence the 2026 draft when Toronto has two first round picks.

I think he could be a rotational PF/C that is taller, rebounds and protects the rim better than Chris Boucher. Maybe he becomes a platoon starter. I think Cleveland is showing how the Mobely / Jarrett Allen twin towers is working as they can cover some PF's too.

There is now an influx bigs with Clingan, Edey and this draft, Maluach, Kalkbrenner, Ivisic.

OKC is bucking the trend by just putting out their best players even though the tallest is 6'6.

Going to my first 905 game this year soon and am looking forward to seeing him. Of course I originally didn't expect so many of the rooks would be with the big club, but given all the injuries, bummed I'm going to miss out on Shead, Mogbo, Walter and probably Battle.

As for Chomche, man he's so young. I'll circle back in a couple of years when he's at least started to grow out of his teen body to really form an opinion on progress. Love the flashes he shows, he just needs to learn a lot.

I'm high on Chomche mostly due to his age, his physic, and that our input costs to acquire him are effectively zero.

He clearly has NBA size and athleticism.

If we stash him in the 905 for 2 years, and he progresses to even a bench or rotation player in that time, it's kind of like buying a late first / early second in 2026 for free.
