Brown smokes it for me. D White is a close second, but that run from JB to start the game really put some fire in us.
I really do question our late game execution. Most nights I'm going to be happy with at least 4 out of the 5 guys out there taking a crunch time shot or even the final shot. I know we've got 2 superstars, but White has been lights out in the 4th quarter, Jrue is elite from the corner, Horford can be clutch, KP when he's back is a legit stud, even Hauser/Pritchard can be trusted at this stage given their shooting %'s and the fact that they should be getting a wide open look if we move the ball enough.
On most teams you just want to put the ball in your best player's hands, but this team is built different. I'd rather work the defense for a wide open look rather than going ISO. We got over the hump last year despite it, but it still remains a mystery to me why we go away from what works so well so consistently in favor of a lower percentage look. Joe seems like a guy who's willing to break the mold, this team is all about sacrificing for the greater good, would love to see more of that.
If I'm the Wolves, I'm completely fine with the look Naz got to end the game. Obviously would want it to get to him quicker so he can get the shot off in time, but I wouldn't have a problem with him taking that shot as opposed to Ant heaving one up with the clock winding down. For us that'd be Horford or KP or White. I'll take that look over a JT step-back wherever possible (and Tatum can still hero ball the rest).
Shout out to the X man for having a really solid performance. Good to see he can come in for certain match-ups and add something different. Think we'll need the full big-man contingent to make it through this regular season and will be great to have options come playoff time.
