Good teams can do that.

My game is still going. Is it done?

It was still going but I knew they had it.

He was not good today, and frankly, in about half of the games in the last 5-6 games. I love him but people really would be going at WCJ for those games lol

He's super talented, but he just doesn't get it and I don't know if he ever will.

It’s hard for me to understand how someone could watch that game and blame LaMelo other than if you just straight up refused to even observe another player on our team because LaMelo is so captivating, which in that case I don’t blame you. He’s cooking up on a great defensive team that doesn’t have to do anything but try and stop him lol. What do you want him to do, score 100? Feed Taj Gibson post ups?

If you can't see it then I'm not sure what to tell you. He is very fun to watch but it's as if you are watching a high school street ball game when you watch him. His shoot selection just absurd sometimes. Do you honestly think that is gonna work on the playoffs? He just does some boneheaded stuff to much for my liking, And mind you that's not even mention the fact that he is a terrible defender.

LaMelo will never be the best player on a real winning team. It's essentially like the guy in your name. Extremely fun to watch but never was able to anything of significance as being the best player.

He’s 23 and playing with a front court that wouldn’t stand out in the G league. I think making decisive proclamations about his career based on what he’s being forced to do to give us a chance to even compete on these games is kinda ridiculous.

Proud of this team. Heavy legs clearly affecting the offense, all those games and travel affected tonight. But they willed themselves into a game and the win. Good teams figure out a way to grind it out.

Also, Lamelo is like Ricky Davis type effect. His whole attitude is of carelessness and thus why any team he is the lead player for is not a serious team.

What??
Cole was the only guard worth a crap tonight.
Shot 50%, made 3s, T2nd in points, T1st in Reb. 2nd in Assists.

He finally had a decent game, against a bad team. He's been awful all year. Need to see more from him.

The Magic were struggling tonight with heavy legs. If Melo was any good at leading his team Charlotte would have won this one comfortably. But he is not a serious player.

Lamelo is playing that chino hills ball, it's flashy and he's going to be on sportscenter top plays but you can't win anything playing like that... Ask James harden

I mean, the guy did have 44-9-7. Say what you want about his archetype or game, this particular game is not on him at all.

Lamelo is still young enough that there is hope that he can mature and combine his talent with a proper approach. His kind of talent doesn't just grow on trees, but he still has a lot of growing up to do before he starts elevating a team.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

your boy Fultz haha

Nah. Fultz never performed for us the way Cole did a few seasons ago. Looked like a legit 6th man, best player on the court among 2nd unit type performances. Fultz was always just Fultz with some good games, mediocre games, m.i.a games, and then just straight up injured games.

Paolo & Franz are 23 & 22 and look how successful they have been last year and now this season...
This roster fully healthy, we're do you think the hornets are at the end of the season record wise? Melo has been on the league for 5 years now. As some point the team needs to start taking a turn with him as the best player.

It’s so bizarre to me how people (not just this thread) cannot just admit that LaMelo is really good. When you have a game like tonight and people are saying you suck after it, I dunno what to even say. You guys see elite defense every night and I’m very much sure you don’t see your guys get diced up like LaMelo did tonight. Yeah it wasn’t enough to win because it wasn’t 60/10/10 on 0 turnovers but damn.

I’m a big Goga fan and what he provides. Hey, we are 9 - 1.

I’m just don’t think he is the long term option at center. If he doesn’t start, Moe and JI have second unit locked down.

He needs to be really coached up by someone with a strong personality and with solid vets in the locker room.... Miami would be a great spot for him to be honest

Very ugly game. Had one good quarter that allowed us to steal the win. If CHA was not so careless with the ball they would have won. The absolute putrid 3pt shooting needs to be addressed. Idk how this team just continues to miss open shots. CHA basically just daring us to shoot. AB, TDS, Jett just clunking wide opens 3s. We cant continue season like this.

Just to be clear, I quite literally said he’s extremely talented in my post. I am not suggesting in any way, shape or form that he sucks. I just wouldn’t want a player of his style on my team.

I don’t think the way he plays, and I respect the reality that because of the injuries the Hornets are dealing with currently that there’s some necessity involved, is conducive to winning basketball games consistently. Like at all.

He also doesn’t seem like he wants to or would really even be able to downshift his game into a role that might make more sense on a better team.

If you’re going to be THAT heliocentric, and Ball has gotten more and more heliocentric every year of his career, then you probably can’t be slightly below league average in efficiency from a TS% perspective.

Jett had an opportunity to show something tonight. He is still pretty far off. I have hope as he has shown improvement but still a long way off.

May have to wait for his 3rd season for a break out game.
