Yeah, when he's open. We have a tough time generating open 3s in our offense, mainly because our primary ball handlers and options Scottie and RJ either have trouble breaking down defenses (Scottie) or are not good at finding teammates after getting into the lane and forcing switches (RJ).
If you compare his shot chart to last year, % of 3s at 15-7 seconds on the shot clock has gone down while % 7-0 seconds on the shot clock has gone up. His share of wide open 3s has also gone down.
This is why they are pushing for IQ to be on-ball as a distributor, even if all of us can see he is much better off-ball as a scorer. Scottie and RJ can't generate these shots for their teammates. IQ is the only one who has the skill-set resembling a player that could do so.
