Most expect Utah to be there regardless...random win here and there or not. But limiting another team from joing the tanking group is a good thing.
I assume this was his thought process
The Spurs are above .500 in the west, we are....quite far from that and in the east lol. Wemby is too good for the spurs to be bottom of the league.
The Jazz are an actual concern, especially with Lauri going down last night.
The Jazz are going to out tank us by far. They are in that elite tank tier with Washington. Don't waste time trying to catch them
Yeah I don't honestly think the top 2 will be attainable without the ping pong balls working in our favor.
I think the realistic goal should be trying to stay in the top 5 (and trade Yak if necessary to do so). Because I think if you can stay in the top 5 there's a good chance to move up and also I'd be very doubtful that more than 2 teams leapfrog us into the top 4. Which means the worst I'd expect to fall is to 7th and imo that's almost perfect because there's at least 7 prospects that would make this ethical tank all worth it (ie/ Flagg, Demin, Harper, Ace, Johnson, Malauch, VJ).
Any of those guys and I'll be pretty damn excited moving forward.
