He's not elite enough.
That secondary player who is more if a three level scorer that can get their own against tougher defenses.
Towns is a great scorer and solves being able to play 5 out, but ultimately Hart, OG and most likely Bridges don't quite bring the level of 1v1 creation that handles tough defense more easily.
Towns needs to be set up.
That leaves Brunson as the one player on the team with that as a truly plus skill
They have a good offense
Their offense will get better
I think that shortcoming separates them from true contenders and also makes them vulnerable to tough defense, especially before they are fully in sync.
