What would last years playoffs have to do with Butler on the Rockets this year?
What are you even trying to argue?
You couldn't even answer my question. He was hurt last year in the playoffs. Talked all that **** and didn't even suit up. He's a year older and worse. You want Houston to gut their team for an aging narcissist because you don't like Jalen Green. Houston is not putting up with Butler antics when they don't have to. Udoka wouldn't ever go for it because he's uncontrollable.
Does that answer your question?
So, he was injured last year, meaning he'll be injured every year.
Got it!
He's been injured every year. Last year was the first time the timing worked out bad for the playoffs, but he hasn't played 70 games since his time in Chicago. He's 35 now.
A team trading for Jimmy wants to go all in for a championship this year. Jimmy is more a roll of the dice, rather than adding a rock solid piece. He's still totally a star, but after 34, players are ticking time bombs. There are only 9 starters in the NBA this year older than Jimmy.
If that dice roll goes well though, he's a serious piece for a title run or two. He's such a high-motor genius that can make plays all over the floor and occasionally be an elite scoring threat.
I also wonder what Jimmy's contract hopes are. Player option next year for 52m, and his brief moment of publicly angling for an extension drew Pat Riley's public scorn. He's been an absolute terror in the past when trying to secure his bag.
We all know the LA teams (and Milwaukee, Philidephia and Phoenix) would move heaven and earth to get him but they don't have much to offer, especially now when OKC and Houston are overflowing with assets.
